I don't understand the answer, homebrew launcher is cia and doesn't work, games are cia and do work, fbi work or not? Are you saying that no installed cia work on 11.3?

With all due respect what's the point in replying at all with an unhelpful smartarse comment, if I knew the answer I wouldn't have asked the question.

I understand the answer. The Homebrew Launcher, also a CIA version of it doesn't work, because the Homebrew Launcher is patched out.
The homebrew CIA versions will still work.

To make it very clear, let's say SNES9x installed as a CIA will still work, just as every homebrew CIA, except for the homebrew launcher.

It's also important not to overstate the significance of this. Having to update the payloads is par for course - this is required after most updates depending on what has changed so this should be little surprise. The payloads will get updated as per usual.

As for the new requirement for 11.3 NATIVE_FIRM, this has been coming for a while and people have been warning the day will come. It could even become a blessing because the silver lining will be CFW finally updated to utilise 11.3 NATIVE_FIRM. It's certainly not my place to critisise CFW authors, but some have been using older NATIVE_FIRM and refusing to move on until they stop working (ReiNAND, Gateway etc.). That day has now come as we all knew it eventually would.

I'm still sort of confused because of all the different terms being mentioned :)

Since I have no need to update, I'll just turn off wifi and revisit later

assuming you have cfw (custom firmware e.x. luma3ds) and are on 11.2 you dont need to turn off wifi . . . and furthermore if you feel the need to use a feature (not including the browser) that requires an update you can bypass that nag screen using ctr-httpwn

Guys, just a little help here.

I have A9LH + Luma and have updated to 11.3 now. As expected, Homebrew Launcher is no longer working, but as I read some info about Sysnand and Emunand, I had a check in my Luma options, and they are like the option "Autoboot Sysnand" is checked, should I disable it?

Why would you disable it? Leave it enabled unless you want to use EmuNAND.

I'm asking because I was worried about not being able to use homebrew any longer because Sysnand was updated.

Thanks for replying, but what is the difference between Sysnand and Emunand, is one safer than the other to update?

I don't think you understand. Standard homebrew is only temporarily not working on 11.3. If you remain on 11.2 or lower, you'll be able to access standard homebrew fine, if you update to 11.3, you won't be able to use homebrew until a fix is released (which will probably happen within the next week). The Autoboot SysNAND has nothing to do with this whatsoever.

Read through this for a definition of terms such as SysNAND and EmuNAND. If you followed 3ds.guide, then you're using SysNAND, and will never have to worry about EmuNAND.

I'm confused on the part of Homebrew Launcher not working. I have it installed as a cia to obviously load the payload to HBL and it works fine for me on my Luma A9LH + 11.3 N3DS. I just need some clarification on this.

At the time it didn't work. Now it does. The payload has since been updated. The original post in this thread was early February.
