Well then, assuming that CBHC gets installed correctly, and one's got it up and running... What kinds of common mishaps might cause bricking, may I ask???

Based on what I know about the installer, the installation seems pretty bulletproof. The thing I could see people screwing up is trying it with a non legit title. After it is installed moving the title to USB or deleting it is a 100% brick. Updating the system (if Nintendo actual pushes one) should be assumed to brick as well. So far only one user reported bricking and he got the same error msg that one gets when the NAND corrupts due to hardware defect. I'm thinking that his Wii U may have died of natural causes.

Almost any ds game will work, look at the compatibility list

Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk

I've checked the compatibility list but am wondering which one is the cheapest as I don't have online access with the console so I'll have to tether to my phone to get the game and I don't have much data hence not having the luxury of being able to browse the data heavy portal finding the cheapest title.

Brain age is I believe at around £6-£7 & the only one game at that price, The rest of the games are around £8.99 each.

Also, scroll quickly to the bottom of the page is where the DS games section is. Click on that and then select the game. Probably faster than actually searching for it.

I have a just one DS game with Haxchi 2.2 installed already. Do i need a reinstall DS game for install CBCH on it? Or i can install CBCH and it overwrites old Xaxchi on itself in DS game?

No offense, but if I had to pick between normal Haxchi and CBHC, I'd pick normal Haxchi because it is much safer, more stable and always there on your system; I don't want to brick my Wii U with CBHC :P

I agree. But like everything in life, devs give people what they want. Do they need cold boot? No. Do they want cold boot? Yes. So lets give em cold boot.

Same a bag-less vacuums. Totally impractical. A bitch to clean. Spend a fortune on filters. Why? Consumer demand.

That said, FIX94 & Dimok rock!!!!! The fact that they can give the peeps what they want is cool. Whether or not its actually needed, well I leave that up to everyone else to argue (as I am sure they will forever on the temp).

I'm a bit confused on what CBHC does...I like to understand before I install anything.

I understand the hack in general - the system boots and loads a file, we modify the file to boot the title we want rather than what it intended to boot.

I'm assuming CBHC modifies this file for your and redirects what application boots when power on.

This is where I am confused - what does it boot exactly? Is it booting its own little application first, then what you tell it to launch? I'm guessing this is what it is does to allow for recovery if necessary.

Since my haxchi is working fine right now (booting mocha by default, ZL for homebrew, ZR for wupinstaller on manual launch) will this config be the same when I install CBHC or does CBHC then have to configured separately?

Correct me if I'm wrong :)

Always logs in as the first user. :( Am I doing something wrong?
thats completely normal right now, I do already have the command to load into the user selection screen but I'll have to code some stuff up first to make a proper check if the selection is normally displayed or not. Also on top of that I do have some other plans like look at making it reload-safe and make it impossible to delete the ds vc title as long as you are in the cbhc custom firmware but it'll all take time.
also @VashTS this is quite different to normal haxchi, think of this like priiloader on wii.

It boots haxchi title which then boot your default whatever you have as default for haxchi (if i understand it correctly) - although i think it shoul be some fw.img either coldboot (dimoks) or mocha (dimok). Also, from what FIX said, once you use CBHC, haxchi config is no longer used. If you want haxchi you need to install another title and overwrite that with haxchi and your config.txt (now that title can be fake signed because you boot into a sigpatched nand so you dont need to buy another one from what I gather).

If I am completely wrong tempers will shoot me down and FIX will kick my ass :P

Is it somehow possible to set autoboot to system menu, but also to have a way to launch the homebrew launcher from the menu?
With the old haxchi version it was possible to setup both: autoboot sign patcher and e.g. start homebrew launcher by holding "a".

Is there any possibility to configure cbhc like this?
