You make no sense. Why do you want Nintendo to lose all those sales? Banned consoles can't buy games and cause loss of customers. This ban is costing them a lot of money. A lot of banned people would be upset enough to quit Nintendo, which means Nintendo missses out on thousands of dollars of future sales per customer, so millions. The combined exponential effect of less customers could reach into the billions.
Even if they're not banned, they're not going to buy anything anyway, so they're losing nothing, really. (Not saying this to every pirates. Some buys the game even after they pirate.)
Also, they're only blocked out from buying digital copies. It's like people forget what a physical copy even is.
You can go out, right now, and purchase yourself a physical copy if you REALLY want to support the franchise.

Buy the cart no sale lost and if you pirated it why would you need eshop anyways. we deserve what we got, yes it stings that we got banned forever but nintendo has every reason to be brutal.

There are some games that are digital only, and in some countries, physical copies are expensive as all fuck.
be that as it is we got what was coming to us. Im pleading with nintendo but if i dont get unbanned then im not going to be upset i listened to everyone going online and did it aswell (even though i knew they could see us)

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

OP: what if you said you bought the game during a holiday in Australia or New Zealand, then played it online?
I told them i played a friends copy im sure there rolling at that excuse.

A perma NNID ban is still a pretty poor move on Nintendo's part, because now it may force some people to pirate, even if they WANTED to buy games.
"We should ban people who pirated Pokemon Sun/Moon from accessing the eShop so they're FORCED to pirate more games!"
"That's brilliant!"

Can I use my old saves from the pirated version with a FreeShop version without fear? Like, do they monitor save file creation dates and such?
I don't think they do, especially since someone's clock on their 3DS could happen to be off by a few days, thus making the save file start date be earlier than release.

they probably think if you pirated that you'll pirate everything else.

Of course they would buy stuff. Most people don't pirate everything. With the WiiU piracy wasn't even possible for years, so that's a lot of time people had to buy games. Not everyone wants physical copies. Physical copies can sometimes be more expensive. Plus don't forget, a lot of games don't even have physical copies. I don't care about pokemon and hence are not banned. But if I got banned, I would quit buying new Nintendo for life. If they made something I really wanted, could just borrow it. If Nintendo banned me and stole the $20 I left in my eshop account, no way will i go out and buy a physical copy of Zelda. So they lose $40 right there. Then when I don't buy a switch and new games, that's another almost $1000 over the lifetime of the switch.

If they banned me, I'd be too upset to buy a cart. Just because someone pirates one game doesn't mean they won't buy that same game later, and doesn't mean they won't buy different games. Skyward Sword leaked early, everyone still bought it.

I'm actually considering not buying Pokemon Moon like I'd originally planned because of this. If the NNID ban is permanent, I just lost maybe $200 or more worth of purchases.
