Hey mate... I know its been a long while but do you remember how you resolved the "banner_Rso0.brlan is not a valid brlan filename!" I would like to modify the Nintendo channel for booting UNEEK/real NAND. Your mentioning it here is one of two urls google found, the other was a github issue with no comments.

Bruh I don't even remember anymore, this was all like 7 years ago. I haven't touched the Wii U since like 2015.
I still got all the dropbox files from the whole thread though, I believe this is the patched wad to work on vWii? (peep attached)

EDIT: oh wait I already linked it a few posts above, goes to show my attention to detail

EDIT 2: The github thing was actually reported by me in googlecode in 2013, as it's got my gmail on there.
I do vaguely remember there being some error with using the traditional Photo Channel SDHC IOS number. But setting it to IOS58 (same used for homebrew channel) fixed whatever that error was while retaining SDHC compatibility.

Hope this helps

Setting it to use IOS58 was the first thing I tried... No go. I ended up using another wad for the base. I know that WadMii can unpack/pack the Nintendo Channel wad but I never went further with any other edits. If I ever come back to it and figure it out, I'll start a new thread. Thanks

Sorry to be here now, and this is probably not related... but... can we send messages on vWii?

Hello.:)

If you mean the Mail Option, then no,it is not possible.:(

The following RiiConnect24 services are not working on the vWii:

Wii Mail (most functionality does not exist on vWii)
  • This includes sending/receiving mail to/from friends. You can only receive global broadcast mail and posts from RSSMii feeds (if set up).

Thank you.:)

I got very upset when i realized vWii wasn't a real COMPLETE Wii inside the Wii U :(
