Awesome, thanks a lot for the release, working great so far but I have one question: is the file size increase normal? It's going from 574mb to 765mb once patched, isn't it just replacing the files so it should be around the same size? I don't know if I did something wrong or if this is normal.

Okay, re-uploaded the L7C patch and fixed the file name issue! Sorry about that everyone. Check the OP for the new link and revised instructions.

As for those of you who can't load the DLC properly, have you tried toggling the MaiDump loading mode using MaiDumpTool v233.2z10?

Text injection working! Translations being worked on now by @shiduyo
This probably means I should start working on the story mode graphics, eh? :D

The patch isn't from the same person though. @Nagato provided us with tools, but my team and I have been the ones working on the patch right now.

Regardless of that though, it is that simple. If you opt to change the "data_release.l7c" file, you will ONLY be changing that file, not uninstalling/reinstalling the game and losing data. There is no risk in replacing that file. It is worth noting that it isn't as easy as replacing assets and extracting a bunch of files into the game's archive as EVERYTHING for the game is stored in the "data_release.l7c" file. If you opt to do things via the VPK method, you will lose your data, but that is nothing that can't be backed up and restored using tools that are readily available and easy to use (rinCheat, SaveDataManager).

Some people don't red to gud on those kinds of websites. ┐(´д`)┌

You tell me. I wrote that article and pretty much only said they were using your tools. Although not all commenters are that bad. But sometimes I do see some that skipped reading comprehension.

I would like to apologize for the commenter. I tried my best to make sure they would know who actually worked on this ._.

Okay, so wee issue on our hands... @shiduyo is in the process of translating the quest titles and quest descriptions for the Donder Quest mode, but it looks like the font is being a bit... mean to us. The spacing is fine, but what seems to be happening is that the smaller font used for the quest descriptions, info and rewards pages doesn't have the characters, "C, W, w, p, J" (case sensitive). Here are the font files, if anyone wants to take a crack at looking at them. They're in yet another odd format, so good luck at getting them to display anything meaningful. They're in "F7C" fonts, apparently, which I couldn't find much info on. Their header reads "FN7C," if that helps anyone. Below is an example of what the text ends up looking like with the characters missing.

Any help would be super appreciated!

To add on to the font issues, we're also missing "?" marks. We still are also unaware how this affects all upper-case letters, x, and z. Thanks Nagato for taking a look at the files! You're really helping me out so I won't have to rewrite things to exclude letters somehow lol.

I took a quick look at it. The F7C container is really simple. It uses the same compression used in my other tools (psvita-l7ctool and psvita-txptool), so that part is already taken care of for you. The overall structure doesn't seem too complicated either. There are two compressed sections: the metadata (I assume) and a TXP file. Here's one of the TXP files: http://imgur.com/3UMH6Rf.png

Unfortunately I have no idea how to read the first compressed section's data after it's decompressed. I don't see any obvious mapping information so I don't know how it specifies what character maps to what glyph in the image. ┐(´д`)┌
I don't really have time to code up a tool for it right now but hopefully that helps a bit.

Huh, well that is interesting. Thanks for taking a look at the files though! Hopefully we can figure something out down the line! For now I think we'll just proceed to go on keep translating the donder quest mode, regardless of the text issues and hope it gets resolved eventually.

For now though, here is a look at the Donder Quest menus in action! Looking good so far!

Nice, almost wish I didn't finish the Quest Board already :) not touched the Mission Board yet, assumed it was harder and barely made it through Quest since I didn't really know what any of my Deck was doing :P
Heh, yeah it is all a bit confusing. The Quest Board quests are tied to the main story I believe and then the Mission Board is, like you said, a lot harder. Those are the only missions available to use during multiplayer, so maybe they're only supposed to be played in multiplayer? They sure as hell are easier with a friend on Ad-Hoc! Got through the first few ranks on the Mission Board with the help of @shiduyo :D

I really enjoyed the Donder Quest, quite a different game when you hit boss battles that switches it up from just playing the songs, almost wish 3DS story side was as simple, only booted it up briefly but world map with random encounters? along with having to actually setup a party, healing items and all sorts, full on RPG :P

Spend more time hacking Taiko games then I do playing them so was nice getting through this one.
