Hacking O3DS 10.3.0-6U downgrading to 9.2 issue (Did not get am:u handle!)

Menuhax 3.1 was installed after booting into HBL with the 10.4.0-6U savegame from OOT3D sploit_installer

try direct boot in sysUpdater (oh yeah, use libkhax sysUpdater) and do full update to 10.3-4 first

I'm already using the sysUpdater.3dsx as a boot.3dsx, but I will give 'libkhax sysUpdater' a try.

Take in consideration that this is very theoretical.

It will install the CIAs that are inside the "updates" folder but since it's only one there, it will try that one alone.

Didn't ment it in the wrong way. I just mean that it's been good to put the brains to the test,

About that version: is it a BETA version?
Maybe it's better to use the Official Release:

About the version I'm actually not sure, as I'm at work, but I though I downloaded this version, which turns out to be 0.4.2b when started.
I'll check that after work again.

Found "sysUpdater-0.4.2b-libkhax-safemode-priority" on that chaos site.

Try installing the exploit for 10.3.0-999 instead, you can also try with another SD Card to make sure there isn"t a problem with it.
If after trying all what you can try is to update to 10.4.0-X to 10.7.0-X with a gamecard with that updatee.

I'm going to try the official MicroSD, which my N3DS came with, tonight.

Oh right, I totally forgot about the possibility to update and start over again. I'm still at work, so I can't surf as free as I wish, but could I download 'IronFall: Invasion' from the eshop(wich is free(?) now), and would this force update me to 10.4.0? Or would that just bring me to 11.0.0-33U?

An online update will get you always to lastest version so you need to do it with a gamecard.

ok, got it, I'm going to pick up 'Kirby Planet Robobot' which should bring me to 10.5.0-xU hopefully not as messed up as my 10.3 ...

A game cart won't update your browser AFAIK (will just put you 10.5.0-6U)

yeah this one from julian, use it to install full 10.3

Yes the gamecard don"t update the browser but actualy their system somehow don"t let it initialize any homebrew app as for what they say, so updating from 10.4.0-X to 10.7.0-X will be the better to try to fix this behavior, they were using Ocarina of Time 3D Hax so he can update it before update the console for use with the new target Firmware.

- tried @julian20 sysUpdater with the full 10.3.0U -> 'Failed to get CIA file info!'
- tried @julian20 sysUpdater with the full 9.2.0U -> 'Failed to get CIA file info!'
- tried other versions below 10.4 with sploit_installer for OOT3D savegames -> same glitchy bottom screen

I wasn't able to get a pre owned copy of a cartridge to update

If you're truly giving up, update it to 11.0, then you retain the ability to use DSiWareHax or hardmod in future to downgrade, or get CFW directly if an arm9 exploit is discovered (if it is, it probably won't be released till it is patched, in which case it would be too late for you to update by official system update).

you sure that all your cia for update is in update folder? (I don't think it need plural, but I can be wrong)

Sorry to hear that, I was really looking forward to see you solve this (and at the same time, find out what worked in case we have the same situation in the future).

But, as @Quantumcat said, you can always update to v11 and then, DSiware Downgrade it.
Or maybe a hardmod, if you want to cash out some Money with one of the vouched modders.

Nonetheless, it has been a good and educational thread to look for solutions based on only the knowledge we have with the tools/haxs available.

I am not sure if you or someone else is having this problem with unable to get am:u handle. but after hours of trying i get it by Installing menuhax, rebooting then accessing sysdowngrader or sysUpdater .

I too was on O3DS 10.3.0-6U and getting the am:u handle error in sysDowngrader. I'm 100% on CFW now.

You saved my life. I can confirm it works perfectly. Try to install menuhax, reset, sysdowngrader and boom.
