If I skip that file it does copy a bit and then suddenly stops the process without any other error screen.

Inside the Nintendo 3ds folder copy and paste the name of the long folder to a text file, rename it anything, copy it over, then rename it back again.
didnt work.
Apparently this is the file that causes the trouble
And I have 3 folders in the Nintendo 3DS folder and a Private folder
Greetings. Long time passed since i've sold my 3ds xl and now i'm planning on getting 2ds to play some titles. Hack scene changed a lot, so i'm hoping i'll get some questions on my nub questions here.
Basically I want to play 3ds roms on my newly 2ds. Do i need convert some 3ds rom form web to cia? or I can install legit cia via fbi through browserhax?
Or do I even need to install smth like luma3ds for this?
Tons of info on forum and it's very confusing for nooby...

If you're not on 11.0, don't update.

Afterwards you can download and install most titles direct to your 3DS using freeShop. For DLC you can also use CIAngel. Anything not on freeShop you can download an install manually using FBI (download in .cia form).

Hi,i saw your post that you say to buy a new sd card when you finish Plailect's guide.well I didn't finish the guide,I temporarily stopped to part 3 and now I want to do the last 2 parts to A9lh.
I bought a new card when I finished part 3,will I have a problem If I continue to part 4 and 5?
My new 32gb sd card was formatted by rednand again as stated in the guide I posted earlier and helped me do the transfer.
I own a 2ds which was updated to 9.2.20 from Plailect's guide and finished part 1 and 3.

Okay, so, my refurbished 2DS came with 8.1.0-19U. Anybody care to help me not screw this up.

Okay, was just worried that to prevent updates, you'd need to block access to the eshop.
Nope, with A9LH you can access the eshop just fine, I haven't actually purchased anything since I installed cfw last week but I am able to browse the shop normally.

Okay. Can I connect this thing to my wi-fi so i can connect my NNID, or should I go through the guide to update to 9.2.0 first?
You have to update to link nnid afaik. Even if you don't, setup a9lh first as you have to do a downgrade, multiple system formats, etc.
If I were you I would upgrade to 9.2.0 first, and go through with the guide, but I'm not sure if it matters because following Plailect's guide I retained my NNID without any problems. You're going to need it connected to wifi for the cfw process anyways.
Okay, but I do have to be connected to wifi for Freeway browser, right? and it won't automatically try to update me? Or how do I do this?
Updates are not automatic, they just download in sleep mode and nag you. They ask you to update when you launch something like the eshop, or try to link an nnid.
oh thank god. i know the wii would try to update you as soon as you connected, so that's why i was worried.
