Oh, by backup do you mean the nand.bin? Or is it something else entirely. Because I have the sysnand backup on my desktop? Just no access to GW currently I believe.

That's better news. If you have the NAND.bin backup on your computer, then you can still restore it. You won't be able to use GW to restore it given that GW doesn't work with that firmware. But you can hardmod the console (or ask someone to do it for you) and restore the backup that way.

Is there any way that the tubehax or ironhax exploits can be used to set up a Gateway card and emuNAND and .cia installation in the same way that the cubic ninja and OoT exploits do? There's a couple of Japanese (small) new 3DSs in some import shop nearby and I want to make sure I can set them up with gateway for my friends before I buy them. Is it also possible to downgrade the system settings app to 4.5 to boot into emuNAND using these exploits?

No. No kernell access. Maybe in the future but at this time, it's just hopeful thinking.

What can the new exploits do then? And if they can't set up emuNAND like on my 4.5 old 3DS, then what can? Is it the OoT exploit if the new3DS is at 9.2 or below, or am I mistaken?

They are used to play homebrew, with limitations.

What can create emunand? GW launcher. That's what GW and the other CFWs use. You still need a way to boot GW launcher anyway which varies depending on firmware and console.

For N3DS at 9.2 or below, CN or OoT will work as well as Mset after the first time booting since you can downgrade it.
For O3DS at 4.x, Mset (Profile exploit) and browser exploit.
For O3DS above 4.x and below 9.2, browser exploit and Mset (with some CFWs if you downgrade the Mset).

What is to install so that after exit Smash Bros on EmuNand I don't get kick to Sysnand?

You can press Home and then open a different app which will ask you to close your current game. You say yes to close the game and then open the other app. Afterwards you exit the app and remain on emunand.

Other than that workaround, there's no way.

I don't know where but I think I have read there was an workaround by installing something. I may be greatly mistaken though. Thanks.

Nah. It's the same workaround. It was just someone that made an homebrew app which only purpose is to be there for you to open and close in order to do what I just said. That way you won't have to use any other app and you can just use that specific one which doesn't do anything else.

is there a way I can play my gba games on sysnand instead of having to go through emunand from rxtools to play them which is irritating since if i want to quit i'll reset me back to sysnand.

Now my new 3ds stuck on 8.1j(i'm using with gateway) and my mainly purpose is want to use ninjhax which is available for 9.0 or 9.2 only......

I found that someone post about used NTR and update with fake server but they said its no longer work....

so should I stick with 8.1j and wait? or any method to do that?

btw I'm found that we can change emunand region to US or EU and make the japanese console perform english menu so can someone confirm it's still work on new 3ds(especially 8.1j).

Thank

So I'm very much a scrub when it comes to things like this and I don't know if this is even possible beyond the theory (hopefully).

So here's the issue: I lost my Red Card a month and a half ago which had Big Blue Menu on it. I've since gone to ReiNAND to access my emuNAND, however, I have no method to install .cia because I need to install .cia in order to get my xorpad to be able to install FBI. At least, as far as I've come to understand things.

What I have:
- n3DS on 9.2
- Blue Card
- DS Profile exploit

My theoretical solution:
- (re)install Gateway menu
- backup 9.2 system NAND
- Update system NAND to newest to get youtube (sadly, I can't get ironfall Invasion from eshop)
- backup new system NAND
- Somehow inject the 9.2 stuff into the new system NAND so I can get 9.2 but with youtube
- use tubehax to run FBI
- Enjoy the insanity

My question is, does this even sound possible? If so, how would I be able to basically insert youtube into the 9.2 backup? Is there an easier solution considering that I have no idea how to insert youtube into the sysNAND backup? I know the easiest solution is to just buy a new set of Gateway cards... or a Sky3DS (since a Gateway at this point is actually less useful since I can just use Sky3DS for all the things I'd use a Red Card for...)

Okay I'm a total noob about flashcarts so bear with me please.
I bought a New 3ds xl along with a sky3ds blue button. Firmware is 9.9.0-26U. Downloaded games for it, played for a few weeks without problems until yesterday.
The problem is when I push the blue button to change games, the led will light up as usual but then the game wont change. The game animation on the top screen will be gone as if the game card was removed but the bottom screen will still show the previous game. One temporary fix I found was to put the system in sleep mode when this happens. When you reopen the system, the game will change.
Is there any permanent fix for it? I found out that this is an issue even with retail cards and resetting your system should fix it, but I've tried that and the problem pops up again the next time I powered my system.
Just to clarify, I tested the card on an old 3ds xl, 9.9.0-26U. Working flawlessly with no issues so I think it's the system.

Okay.
So I was testing my rxTools to see if the region-free .cia's work.
One of the .cia's I used is supposed to be region-free but after installing doesn't show up on the menu. It always shows up for a second, and instantly disappears.
Can anyone help?
I tried using the regular rxTools first but switched to rxPasta afterwards, and there was no change...

Figured I'd ask here since this is probably a Noob question. Is there currently a method for dumping eShop games from a higher firmware? The only tutorial I found was one for like 4.5 3DS's.
