So I had a problem the scheduled task and I deleted it, now it won't readd it.

I'm using Nzone

How do I fix this?

I really need help with this.

I have been trying to fix this for 5 days now.

Damn, the color MACs are useless as fuck... nobody follows the damn shirt code. I tried to go for the Pink MACs today, changed my Mii's shirt to pink in Mii Maker, only to find pretty much every other color BUT PINK.

Bloody hell.

I hope the gender MACs are actually respected -- but from all of these MAC cyclers, I'mmmmmmmmm pretty sure it'll be the same.

I figured out the problem, sort of.

I had to completely reformat the system and it started working again. It's cycling too fast for my wifi to reconnect back to it, so it loses the connection and then it gets confused. When I switched it to 10 minute, it was working, but then I noticed the system time was wrong on the clock and I changed it. Now everything seems borked again even after restart and deletion of task.

It is re-adding nzone to the task scheduler but it is not running after Trigger.

Please help.

Nvm, I believe I have fixed it. I have restarted it and hibernated it, and it is still cycling. I do believe I had a registry issue on previous install but on this install I have it consistently working and if it doesn't, I'm pretty sure I know how to fix it.

Someone needs to contact the author of the nzone script base 256 and tell him that 1 minute interval is too fast, at least in my case. What was happening is that it kept loosing the connection before it could apply the new mac address and then it would say Unidentified Network and refuse to do anything at all, when you try to stop the script, you get the Microsoft VBscript error. I ran the trouble-shooter to renable my adapter, but I'm sure you can just reboot.

What you have to do in this case, is go into the task scheduler and change the time interval of the task to 2 minutes INTO the future. If the time is set below the trigger time, the task will not work.

After you wait your two minutes, the task should enable and then the next 2 minutes should start cycling.

I really, really, REALLY hope this post helps people with Nzone on Windows.

AS of right now it has been about 30-40 minutes and it is consistently cycling as it's supposed to.

That was 5 days I will never get back.

Hi ! o/

I use the method with "nzone.exe", it works the first time but is there a way to modify the mac manually without making nzone.exe crash/does not work anymore ? Or maybe a way to modify the cycle time... ?

Thanks a lot... ~

Hello, I use the Windows method. I was able to connect my 3DS to the attwifi network but Nintendo Zone did not enable and when I started MACycle, I did not get any streetpass :( I use the latest version of 3DS OS and MACycle v2. I had some trouble with the Windows services but the 3DS is now connected as it is able to load web pages with the browser. I have Windows 7. If it can help, when my 3DS is asleep and I open it, in the top left hand corner, it shows "Streetpass" and then, a few seconds after, the "Internet" appears. Can anyone help me ? Thanks :D
Sorry for the grammar, I am French...

Use the nzone.exe or the precompiled Linux image method! ;)

Sorry if this has been answered before, it's a bit hard to follow so many pages. I'm having a lot of trouble getting this to work. I used to have it working on System Menu 9.2.0 (using MacCycle), but since the change, I haven't been able to get it to work no matter what I do.

I have an internal, PCI wireless card, "Broadcom 802.11g Network Adapter", with hardware IDs PCI\VEN_14E4, DEV_4320, SUBSYS_70011799, and REV_03.

With nzone.exe / nzone.vbs, I've been able to get it to get the "Nintendo Zone is available in this area" notification, but no street passes.
With the Linux virtual machine, I can't seem to get it to work at all. It seems like the error stems from a line reading "SIOCSIFADDR: No such device#012wlan0". The instructions mentioned connecting the adapter to the virtual machine, but I think that's only applicable to a USB dongle. I did try setting the network connection to Bridged, and also checking the "Replicate physical network connection state", but that doesn't seem to have the desired effect of allowing the virtual machine to control the adapter.

I feel like if I could just get around the requirement in Windows that a hosted network be secured with WPA2, I could get it to work with or without nzone.exe, or I'm missing something that is possibly blindingly obvious. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I could try to get this working again? I would be happy to provide any additional information that could be useful, as well.

I'm using Windows 7 and I've set everything up correctly. The SSID is NZ@McD1 and the mac address is the one for "Indie/eShop Games (i.e. Shovel Knight)". I'm trying to get streetpasses on Pokemon Rumble World but am not getting anything. 3ds firmware is latest if it matters.

I tried this tutorial but the nzone.exe download link doesn't work and all links I found with Google don't work  Does anyone know a working link or another method with Windows ? With MACycle, I changed the SSID to NZ@McD1, the 3DS says that Nintendo Zone services are available but when I launch the application, it says they aren't available. And no Streetpass...

Does anybody knows how to get mac's from nzone spots???
I like to get some Belgium mac adresses (Belgium, only GameMania has Nzone spots)

You won't be able to use your 3DS to get the MACs, you'll need a laptop (or an Android tablet/phone I guess, but then you'll have to find an app).

On OS X, it's as simple as holding down Option (alt) and clicking the WiFi icon on your Menu Bar. The list that drops down will tell you the BSSID which is the MAC address of the access point you're connected to (obviously make sure to connect to the access point first ;)). On Windows, you can follow this guide to find the BSSID of the access point.

To anyone having issues downloading from nintendozone.no-ip.org, it's been reported as an attack site for some reason, so your browser and/or antivirus are likely blocking it. In Firefox, go into Options, and on the Security tab, uncheck the "Block reported attack sites" and "Block reported web forgeries". You might want to re-enable those once you're done, though. I believe most antivirus programs have an option somewhere to disable them for a brief period of time. Avast has it if you right-click the Notification Area icon, under "Avast Shields Control".

If you have an antivirus, it's likely going to flag nzone.exe as a false positive, causing it to delete the program even after you've downloaded it, as well as block it from downloading the list of MAC addresses. You can add the folder you download it to as an exception for your antivirus, so once you have the .macs file, you should be okay to have your antivirus running and still be able to use the program.

Hope this helps people.
