Alright, so this is the dialog that pops up. I'm not sure what it says, but I'm relatively certain it's asking for me to update.

pretty sure mine just asked me tome T&C stuff before it would work.....not updating.....but best wait for someone who can translate it

WOW that's scary... i'm glad i bought a AUS N3DS, i'm pretty sure i'd break a JAPaneses one very quickly

can someone who speaks asian confirm that it asks for update? Or does it just ask for wifi switch to be on (i assume u had it disabled...)?

It's weird... if a N3DS has never connected to internet how can it know an update exists?

No, I forgot to turn off the switch so it downloaded the update.
Anyways, I found a video of someone's AUS console.

Actually i think i can try this tonight. I live in a redneck town in the middle of nowhere, so there's no chance of me accessing wifi and downloading the update

EDIT: oh wait, is the guy in the video setting up a N3DS? It looks like he's doing a system transfer thing

He's just setting it up. I pressed accept and it just brought me to the internet browser. I guess that's all that was needed

Cool so u can use the internet browser without being on latest firmware? Then maybe GW's current exploit can be modified to work with new browser

I did a System transfer from my 9.2 3DS XL to the 9.2 N3DS XL back when 9.2 was the latest OFW. When I used the browser i don't remember getting that error, of course deems to be only for fresh consoles that have never gone online.

its not an error, just the standard T&C, i skipped setting up wifi when i did the initial setup, so when i went to start the browser i got that screen too...pretty sure its always been there on pretty much every firmware ever, but it is only the first ever time you use the internet

I just received my Ambassador edition. I didn't need to connect to internet to use the browser.
So I give the local option of Gateway a try

But yeah, it seems like nothing happens when you try to use the exploit on the N3DS
(Using the Gateway 3DS Loader on my Jolla)

Browser version 1.0.9934

On my regular 3DS with FW9.4 (emunand) it shows browser version 1.7567
Well, is that higher or lower then 1.0.9934?

Oh and yeah, imo, it's the best OS on a mobile there is: www.Jolla.com

(Yes, it's NOT Android, but it CAN install and run Android apk files)
