Fair warning though. if you're about to try the more than 10 games bypass it might be a little confusing to explain to an 8 year old.
The bypass is only needed for existing red button carts. Not the new blue button carts. I swear reading comprehension around here is piss poor. First came all the posts about everyone that bought the first batch getting screwed, even though in the very first post it stated there was a workaround for early adopters. Now this guy^^^. Sheesh!

oh whoops. totally forgot that he was mentioning the blue button cart. my bad.
Now that I finished reading all the other posts to get to this point I realize it was a misunderstanding, heh. You obviously understood that because you made the exact same point I did to other misinformed posters. Not having to do the workaround is the whole reason it would be better suited to my 8 year old than a gw would.

Not a fan of the way the company has gone about things as in releasing a new card days after their first one was hacked but there is definitely merit to the ease of use to the sky3ds system. Gateway seems more standup but there does seem to be a bigger barrier to entry whether it be sus and related or just simply the newd for emunand updates for sysnand support.

I may give the blue pill a whirl

Wow SKY3DS became relevant again all the sudden...
Region locked sure but plug, press the BLUE button a thousand times and play, and 9.3 support!

You skipped a step, fixed

On a serious note, this just proves that Sky3DS is a scum, they released the 10 game limit card (for 100$!!! ) because they thought they will own the market, and after the gateway video, quickly released a new cart with no limit.

Nonetheless, the cart is probably very convenient for people who only care about playing a bunch of games.

If I understood right, they ripped off some customers with the 10-games-ever limit intentionally, then release a new batch of cards without limit?
Mind blown.

People don't understand how the market works some times. They didn't rip anyone off. They were completely up-front and honest about how it works. If someone bought a Sky3ds and wasn't aware of the 10 game total it is nobody's fault but their own. If someone knows the product and decided it was worth the cost to buy one how did Sky3ds rip anyone off? Everything works exactly as advertised and exactly how it was agreed that it would work when the buyer paid for it.

Yeah true the button sucks, the patching tool sucks, their whole communications / developing skills are not good at all.
But what i meant by plug and play i mean being able to use in any 3DS without messing with the console itself (cfw, emunand, exploits etc...)
But in the end its good to have an alternative to Gateway.

Ahhhahaha...oh this is funny. And to think there were actually people who believed that the 10 game limit was a hardware limitation.

So how do we buy the new one? Just hope that the resellers mention it's the new batch?
Pretty poorly thought out, it should have a different name.

Does the workaround for the original covert it to the exact functionality of the blue button version?

Didn't they claim the 10 game maximum is a hardware limitation?

Damn, was waiting for the Gateway to support 9.2 but since Sky3DS even supports 9.3 it will be hard making a good choice.

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.
