Have you tried the method from the FAQ thread?
I have, but it doesn't work. MacMakeup is the only way I have been able to change the MAC address of my wireless adapter, however I am struggling to get it to carry over to the hosted network.

I'll check it on Monday, it looks like it is written on power she'll and I'll be able to implement it on vbs, like my own script. Using powershell for every MAC check is too slow and expensive. Please try maccheck.cmd from my method also.

Checked the mcmkup.ps1, there is nothing special in there, the regular registry setting used in macshift and my vbs script too. PM if you're interested in additional script debug for your network adapter.

Doesn't matter now anyways, I've been able to get it working through a Linux script (although there is no cycling, so I may have to create a script for that). If I do create a script, I'll post it in the main HomePass topic.

Linux script is also available in the Homepass FAQ post.

Just throwing it out there for people who aren't getting homepasses.
Try changing the hotspot name from "attwifi" to "NZ@McD1"
I couldn't get any passes at all now with attwifi even though I'm getting them fine with NZ@McD1

This.

Is "attwifi" dead now?

You may have disabled your hostednetwork. Open the Network and Sharing Center, and click on "Change Adapter Settings". Your hostednetwork may be in there. Right-click on it and enable it. I know there's a few other reasons it happens, but that's the most common.

So I've pretty much been using these guides to try to set up HomePass but I keep running into issues:
http://www.reddit.com/r/pokemon/comments/2n8hg9/want_the_eon_ticket_homepass_is_for_you/
http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/997614-nintendo-3ds/66974137

I use Windows 8.1 and am using a laptop with a built-in wireless network card.
Basically the problem is that it seems every time my adapter is reset when the MAC address is changed, I lose the "Internet Connection Sharing". The box unchecks itself and I have to go in manually to turn it on again and allow the hotspot to connect to my Wi-Fi.
Also, I'm not sure if this is relevant but when I go to Device Manager to set my adapter card Network Address, am I supposed to change the value every time the MAC address changes?

This seems rather hands-on for something that's supposed to be automated, so I feel like I'm doing something wrong or missing something. When I don't try to use a MAC cycler and just do everything by hand in Command Prompt, then it all works...

Thanks a bunch, attwifi really seems to be dead now. "NZ@McD1" works like a charm for me.

I seemed to have connected to he NZ@McD1 but I don't see my physical MAC Address changing. Yet, during the time I boot up my DS, I can see it trying to lookup something on Streetpass, but it doesn't seem to do anything after. Would appreciate some assistance here.

Small edit: I do however, see that the Nintendo Zone was found.

May be a noobish question but, how do I know if Homepass works? I see the Nintendo Zone icon, it's glowing blue and I get a connection (downloaded my shiny Beldum in Alpha Sapphire with this network) but I don't get any StreetPasses. Does my 3DS have to be in Standby mode? Do I have to insert the cartridge for the game I'm trying to get StreetPasses for?
I'm using the SSID NZ@McD1

So, long time since an update, but I got a PM today, and someone decided to take the source and yet again refactor it, as well as add some additional features that make MACycle even nicer to use. Here's a little preview:

I currently don't have a targeted release date, but I do plan to release it soon. I'll have to run some testing, but it shouldn't be too long before I push V2.00.
