Yes, emunand works on the latest version as of now (which would be 9.2).
Make sure to update your gateway launcher to the latest version as well (2.6)
Emunand + Purchased eshop games + sleep: incompatibility?
I'm using emunand and was playing the eshop game Shantae and the Pirate's Curve (I purchased this through the eshop). I paused the game and closed the lid. I came back to the game a few hours later and in the game I left the current area and then suddenly I got a black screen saying the 3ds encounter an issue and I have to hold down the power button to shutdown.
I do that and end up back in sysnand. I then get a message that something is wrong with my sd card. I shutdown the 3ds, take out the sd card, put it back in, start it up again, and now it's fine. So is there a known issue about emunand + purchased eshop games + sleep? Purchased Eshop games are stored on the main sd card and when I went to another area, it would need to load more data from the sd card. I have closed the lid before when playing this game, but before this incident, I only had the lid closed for less than an hour. Perhaps there is a deep deep sleep mode after a certain time?

hey guys, some noob questions. I just want to play smash online, so what would I need to do? I'm on emunand 8.something, gateway from like a month ago so 2.3 i think , I remember reading the topic last month about editing the smash header to play online, do I still need to do that? So would I have to update both things and and my emunand too?

Yes you should edit the header. You should also update your GW Launcher and emunand, there's no harm in doing that.
You can use SaveDataFiler to backup your Pokemon save.
But I have no idea why your eshop purchase wouldn't show. Are you sure your SD card is being detected?
I recently had to wipe my computer and forgot to backup the rom patcher and any headers. Could somebody please provide me with a link ( I assume thats allowed ) to the latest version of the GW rom patcher and anywhere I could get a header from please. The search button didn't help. Thanks.
EDIT - Found GW rom pathcer v.06, is this the latest version, if not has anything of note changed that's worth me getting the newest version. Also found some headers.

Well, it's not an issue per se. But it does randomly happen on occasions (can happen anytime in gateway mode. Not just after coming out of sleep mode). Although I usually get the "An error has occurred" one.
Oh, and I sometimes leave my 3ds for days with no ill effects.
"SD card has been removed" usually means that there was actually a problem with your sd card though (ie. contact issues or whatever)
how does the 3ds know if an fw update is bewer than the one already installed? Wouldnt it be possible, with all the decryption and encrypton latly, to make the 3ds belive a 4.5 update is a 9.3? (and ultimatly use sky3ds or the upcoming gateway to downgrade the 3ds)

I have a 3DS on 2.1, 3X 3DSXLs between 4.1-4.5 and a 2DS I updated to 9.2. I want to start playing with and modding roms and homebrew but I am really unsure as to what I should do.
I know I should get a Gateway but I heard bad things about eachmall like squished packing, missing stickers and really long shipping time. Is any of that true from your experiences and what should I do to solve those problems?I don't want to spend way more than I have to but I will if it's my only choice.
I want to solder my systems but I have never soldered before. Where is the best place to start so I don't destroy my consoles?
I was also thinking I should make NAND backups (with Gateway software to SD) of all my 3DS consoles and then update to 9.2 so I don't get Nintendos patched up 9.3 fw. I want to do this in case 9.2 becomes the new 4.5 Could that happen? Or would 4.5 always have lots of exploits available for it?
When I buy a cartridge with 4.5 to update my 3DS from 2.1, what should I look for? I don't want to get a card with revised hardware and a new update that's 5.0+.
Also does the 3DS CFW by GovanifY for 4.5 work on systems between 4.1-4.5?
Oh, and could constantly reflashing the NAND wear down the chip and cause it to fail sooner than if I were to leave it un-soldered? How often would you recommend is it safe to reflash?

Noob incoming. I'm curious about smea's new exploit: I read on his site that it's the "sweet spot" of hacking, meaning yes to homebrew and no to piracy, which is great! But I'm also curious, since homebrew is now possible, wouldn't it not take long for someone to create a backup launcher application? I heard you just need to bypass the check that the 3ds runs, but you need kernel access? I'm not too sure.
It isn't that easy, the code runs from within a game. You cannot launch a game when a game is already running, and smealums exploit doesnt have enough system privileges to use certain components. (which you need for running backups)
