as stated before, no gba.

i also know there is no passme usage. The mkaers said something like "Why need passme usage? 2GB's is plenty of space!" which made me laugh ^^

Some comments from a newbie:

Physically, the cart is the same size as commercial cart, but with a little chip protruding out slightly from the central area. It clicks in and out of my NDS lite with no problem. Plastic quality is almost identical to commercial carts. It came with a spare clear cart housing.

The interface is very simple, black and white with touchscreen support. It lets you select your microSD card speed (I used fast for my sandisk ultra II), select a rom and then select a save game. Navigating through roms and saves is a bit of a nightmare as long filenames aren't supported. So far, I've played

0028 - Kirby - Canvas Curse (US).nds (Loads & plays fine, crashed once in sound setup screen)
0056 - Super Mario 64 DS (v01) (US).nds (No probs so far)
0079 - Bomberman (EU)(M5).nds (No probs so far)
0121 - Castlevania - Dawn of Sorrow (US).nds (Garbled names and menu items... dodgy rom?)
0170 - Spongebob Squarepants - The Yellow Avenger (US).nds (Doesn't load)
0540 - Star Fox Command (US).nds (Doesn't load)
0560 - Cooking Mama (US).nds (Loads but no sound)
0561 - Harvest Moon DS (US).nds (Loads but no sound)
0569 - Dragon Quest Heroes - Rocket Slime (US).nds (No probs so far)
0034 - Zoo Keeper (US).nds (No probs so far)

Sleep mode appears to be working well. That's all I've looked at so far.

EDIT: X9 loaded EZ4 Cooking Mama saves and Dragon Quest Heroes saves, but not Harvest Moon.

EDIT #2: All of the above problems seem to be solved by setting the microSD card speed to "Medium". Games seem to take 1-2 more seconds to load, but all other problems seem to be solved.. for now

i'm wondering if anyone's had any problems (slowdown etc) using this with a Kingston/PNY 1GB MicroSD card...apparently they're the best to use with the X9, as well as the Acekard. they also happen to be pretty cheap around here. if this thing can actually run all games perfectly from the aforementioned card, i'd seriously consider getting one.

REVIEW UPDATE
Now I have had plenty of time to use this card, the more I use it, the less I like it. Continued use shows up major problems in saving and loading saved games along with poor compatibility with many makes of microSD cards and frequent loss of game save files and unrecoverable lockups (until you rewrite some of the files on a PC). This product is not fit for public release at the moment IMHO.

I knew it, the team that created the original crappy NinjaPass-series that wasn't supported properly or updated at all hasn't changed.

A user from MaxConsole posted that info.

Whatever happened to FifthE1ement's review.. He was getting a sample first and where is he?

Did he find out that he was totally wrong about X9 and decided not to review it?

ive got one, but i cant really really comment on it.
It's been improved on as we speak.
So anything someone comments now. In 1 month or less would be completely different.
The first release of their loader and romlist wasnt that good.
As time goes by things are really improving.

Tools are being made for .sav creation and so on.

So things are catching up.

But, long file name support isnt there yet. So im guessing until that gets supported cant really comment, on GUI.

As far as game support, everything works fine.
If something doesnt work, it usually works the next day. Up to now, havent got any problems with it,(havent tried download play).

One thing, though is that they are having some issue with corruption. Cant be singled out, as to what actually does that.

Some commented maybe its the card or maybe not.
They are fixing it though, well hopefully i mean.

Touch wood, only happened once with me. Re-formatted the card and everything worked fine.

Record.dat which links the .nds with .sav may get corrupted, but as soon as you replace that, then its fine.

As i said, the comments sound bad, but from what i read in the DS-X forum, some people are experiencing similar problems with that as well.

I do think though that, for a TF supporting Slot-1, probably the best so far. Cant tell about the DS-X cause i havent got one.

We are also waiting for the release of X9FatLib(something like that ;p), so we get some homebrew support.

As i said, in 1 months time, youll see more people commenting. For gaming, it's cheap, things work, so why not?

But there is a difference in releasing a product during the testing phase and releasing it when it's final. They obviously broke every law there is regarding software engineering just to get money. Now people have bought the product so there is no such a rush any longer.
