I haven't made a post in forever, but I came back just to thank you guys for making this and tell you what an awesome job you did. It feels like the actual localization team did the work themselves! I'm extremely impressed! I'm not joking, not even a little, I can't believe how well done this is. My wife was playing it for a while and she was shocked when I told her it was a fan translation. She didn't believe me!

If I had any complaint, it would be where someone mentions "America" in the game. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the series only mentioned it being America in the first game, and then went out of it's way to say things like "this country" and whatnot? I could be remembering things wrong though.

I do have a couple of questions though.

1: Is there any particular reason this game ends the day before Phoenix's disbarment? My only guess would be that was done intentionally to avoid Edgeworth talking about it, since they don't like to mention Phoenix directly in his games.

2: What did DeKiller introduce himself as in the original script? I'm curious what the Japanese equivalent of John Doe is.

with the glitches in case 3, does it make case 3 unplayable and I can't get past it?

not sure which emulator you're using but I got a glitch at the beginning on that case - distorted graphics and black screen because I was using desume 0.9.10 but using 0.9.9 version fixes it. 9.10 seems to be known for these glitches but it is fast to run the game as I noticed 0.9.9 version has a lag in saving the game otherwise it's better to use that version to prevent these black screens.

After discovering the body there's a flashback to de Killer holding Knightley by knifepoint, in the text he says he was hired by "a curious individual;" however, in the 1st case the wording was "a certain individual," if I recall correctly.

Well...can't really say that all of them are lazy

. I think they did read it but just not that little detail as they were not expecting major problems as mentioned in previous posts. I'm guessing they are probably new to this emulation experience, which is why most of them have downloaded the latest version desume without looking into that detail or they were already using that version with their other games and assume the latest version should be better with no issue. I do hope they'll read through the latest comments so they are aware.

Additionally,

Sometimes when the text box moves from the bottom screen to the top screen, (like when you're presenting evidence for a deduction), the contents of the box gets truncated.

So nobody have save right after this moment where using microphone. Sadly.
But maybe someone have. Please reply. I really want to finish this game, but i cannot because i dont have microphone.
Possibly, someone have save after 1 end day in last case. If so, then please, upload this save.

I know desume allows you to use a noise sample (you can make one using sound recorder on your pc as long it's 8 bit? - I think) but I have yet to test it. I don't have a microphone too so I have to use this method. I have downloaded one sample from someone and will see will it work as right now i'm on case 5. Not sure about the emulator you're using if you have this kind of feature.

Unfortunately I don't think anyone here will upload a save file as it is not allowed or whatever their reason. Anyway hope you'll get through this eventually if you able to find a solution.

I use nogba emulator. It is version 2.7. I dont know uploading save file is allowed or no, i know only, that upload patched rom is not allowed.
Can you tell me more about your trick? This with noise sample. It work for you or not?
If nothing help me, i can always watch fragment after blowing on youtube. I would rather play on myself, than watching on youtube.

Haven't tried it yet as I'm just at the beginning of the case but I have added the file to the emulator I'm using - desume 0.9.9 so I could test it when I get to that part. I don't know anything about nogba emulator so it might work differently. Upload the already patched file already!In the links you have provided there is no patch file (.xdelta) so the game is still in japanese.Thans for the trouble.It wouldn't hurt to be a little more detailed on how to patch the game....

Hmm. i have idea.
First, you Stella see whether your trick work for you or not.
If it works, then give me your save after blowing (of course if it work). I download desmume and finish game on this emulator.
If not work, then i try to find another solution.
What you think about this idea?

Read the first post. People, this is a visual novel game, which has WAY more text than the first post. You want to play such a game, read the first post from top to bottom. Patch link is there.

Keep getting errcode=-4 on TTDS. Original jap rom works perfectly. Really tired of finding of solution, but haven't found anything .

Halfway through case 3 and I haven't seen any problems aside from some occasional punctuation errors (mainly in terms of an exclamation mark when a question mark or an interrobang would be better).
I love the translation, it's better than some of the official Ace Attorney games.

(Though, I will admit I cringed a bit at the "Normalium and Fatalium" lines...)
