Will there ever be an update to intermittently ping hard drives with spin down/sleep issues. It seems the biggest hdd compatibility issue amongst HDDs and DM stem from this power saving feature on many HDDs/enclosures etc. there's loads of programs for windows and Linux which write and erase text files to sleepy hard drives at controlled intervals to ensure the device stays awake and doesn't spin down. I'd imagine adding these few lines of code couldn't be that difficult to implement. Of course I'm not a wii modder, maybe I look absolutely foolish right now at this impossible implementation. Either way, I love dios mios and the modding scene. May this humble request greet you well

It's already there since DM2.2, and the timing has been shortened since then.
It was originally pinging the same sector (sector 23, first FAT32 sector) every two minutes.
It was then changed in DM2.4 to ping random sectors because HDD had sector cache feature and pinging always the same sector didn't help.
it finally was set to ping every 25 seconds in DM2.6 because users reported drives with sleep timer set to 30 seconds.

maybe my hdd goes to sleep in less than 25 seconds then cause im still getting spin down issues. damn. i have a feeling its that $6 enclosure i bought for my old laptop hard drive. it goes to sleep in like 10 seconds i think. anyone know of a tried and true enclosure with less power management

I use a 16GB SanDisk flash drive and have zero issues with 2.11. The faster loading speed is just flat out amazing.

Try loading a level on SA2B to see what I mean.

yes the new version is super awesome. spin down issues arent really a problem for me now cause i can just use my thumb drive (with nearly instant loading speeds) instead of that pesky hard drive which is now reserved solely for wii games

Got a bit of a pesky problem. I've hacked a couple of wiis I have laying around, and everything is good except Dios Mios. I installed a clean BC and Mios before installing DM2.11, launched the game using the gamecube controller, but when the game boots up it doesn't register my input. I dunno what gives. It works just fine on my main Wii.

From the Nintendont topic (which recently got audio streaming working fine):

Guess it's possible to add audio streaming to Dios Mios after all, though it seems kinda pointless now with Nintendont becoming this advanced, maybe someone experienced with DM(L) can try it out?

About the only way DM beats ND is Gecko pointer support and homebrew. If ND had that I probably wouldn't use DM as much. But still, even after loading speed optimization DM STILL has slightly faster loading times.

I like being able to use my real memory card since FE10 (a Wii game) can read FE9 save data from the GC memory card, and that game uses save file protection.

Also, GBA connectivity. It works well enough for me to store Pokémon on Pokémon Box: Ruby and Sapphire, though I can't use it to play the GBA games on the TV... strangely enough, I used to be able to with a VERY old version of DML (pre-1.0), but installing that same WAD doesn't even let me boot the game anymore... wtf???

And being able to trade your Pokémon off of Colosseum/XD Gale of Darkness is pretty much my only reason to play either game. ;p

By the way, does Nintendont have screenshot functionality? I finally figured out what was wrong with converting the ones taken by DIOS MIOS, so now I'm merely curious.
