As far as I know, Gateway isn't able to pull data from the save file when a game is active. Thats why you have to exit the game through the home menu (It's the trigger that has the gateway transfer the save from the cart to the memory card) and why it takes a bit longer to load games with the Gateway (Slower because it needs to transfer the save from the memory to the cart.)

OK I'm at the step where I need to update my emunand, GW3D shows, but when I go to update I get a TOS agreement screen. I've read that if you get any to accept and restart the process, but I get this everytime I go to update. Some people said it was just a rumor that you would be booted into sysnand by accepting the TOS, but I guess better to be safe than sorry.

Nah, you don't get booted into sysNAND if you accept. Only if you hit X at any point. Verify GW before your FW version, accept everything and update.
since the brick problem has not been solved, it's not recommended to use 2.02b right? so does it mean I must use 1.2 for time being? is there any way to access eshop? I wanted to use emunand and buy ace attorney when all the noise about bricking happened 
That's helpful and good to know because I never closed my game and that could've meant losing almost 50 hours of gameplay and counting, but what exactly does that mean concerning my questions? That it's not possible to use DLC on backup games?

I have 2 cards.
One is a new kingston class 10 16gb card.
The second is a old sandisk class 4 32gb card.
The first card works fine, but it randomly freezes when loading or saving. (Read write)
The second card either fails to find the dsmenu.dat or it freezes in the menu with no options, and a flicking slot1 icon.
Anyone have a solution here?

I see Gateway warning about using region free patches to play games. Will I be ok if I play a ROM from another country if I am using the official Gateway card?
Don't use the 2.0b2 version.
It still has a chance to brick you.
Use the earlier versions such as 2.0b1
I found a link for the older launchers. A few questions:
1) Will my emuNAND work with 2.0b1 or 1.2 or will I have to remake it?
2) Does 1.2 support the same ROMS as 2.0b1?
3) If I understand correctly, all I should do is take the launcher file and place it in my SD card and I'm done? I won't have to redo the installation process from my initial setup?

So I was using 2.0b2 until all that bad news came up and was playing other region games just fine. I went back down to 2.0b1 and now I can't play them anymore. I think I saw it mentioned somewhere that 2.0b1 can't play other region game with an emuNand of 7.1, which I currently have on my 3DS.
Do any of the older launchers allow other region games to be played?

1.2 can, but it doesn't support some newer games.

EmuNAND can be updated with the last version of the online firmware or it depends on the version of the gateway software you're using? Is it possible to update EmuNAND with a cartridge or is there a risk to update SysNAND instead? (I'm planning on playing Pokemon X that I got along with my 3DS but I don't wanna loose my 4.5 so I'm waiting to receive my gateway, but I'm still very confused in the whole process.)
Also, does the blue card need to be used everytime you turn the 3DS off and then on again (ie, will I have to leave it constantly in sleep mode unless I want to have to install the emunand/update everytime)
