Ace3DS team urges Ace3DS Plus owners not to update 4.4.0-10 yet, but claims to be working on an update. I'd keep an eye on www.ace3ds.com -- I am not surprised if this turns out to be a "Class 2" cart also.

There's nothing about his statement that is provably false. The language implies SOME carts are still update-able. I think that by describing which carts are likely permanent blocked now, he is making sure that people who want a flashcart for their 3DS will avoid everything except for ones in the confirmed list. Featuring the flashcarts such as r4ids.cn & r4idsn.com which are now in the updated list
Not sure yet, gonna test in an hour or two (need to eat first) but www.r4ids.com has been updated with a new firmware. It does not explicitly mention bypassing 4.4.0, but why else update the firmware? I'll post results later.
I currently updated both my R4i Gold plus deluxe edition and R4i 3ds Non Gold from r4ids.cn. Both my 3ds are in the last update which was I believe 4.3.10, well as for the R4i Gold Plus, when I insert it on my 3ds it shows no icon for both my 3ds, and as for my R4i 3ds non Gold the same on one 3ds but on the other it does this plus when I move around the menu the 3ds comepletely freezes with only sound playing, then if I try to turn it off it freezes during the black screen mode and all there is, is the menu sound with two black screens, a second try with the power button will just shut down the 3ds as usual. Any ideas, seems weird that it only happens with one 3ds Cosmo Black.
I did test it, although, that implication could have been missed in my post.
Using the NDSL file, I couldn't initialize the update.
It wouldn't work.
I just got the error of "Wrong Card", IIRC (something like that).
EDIT: I'll give the exact error when I get home in a few hours, but, essentially, the update wouldn't run.
It seems you need a card that came with DORASU.

This seems to be correct, no one has verified getting the updates to work on any r4ids.cn or r4idsn.com cart on older revisions. Though one should note there were multiple headers used from the publisher DORASU (the other one was a hello kitty game I think) so we need to specifically clarify that it's the one with a halo on it:
To examine your cart for the revision look at the bottom where the gold contacts are. On the farthest right "Tooth" there should be a small white number or letter printed. As @Pong20302000 previously described this signifies the revision. This may be especially helpful for people who obtained a preupdated one rather than getting it in its factory state.
My r4ids.cn R4i Gold 3DS flashcart is Revision 9 which appears to be the earliest that is compatible with the released update. My r4idsn.com R43D Gold flashcart is revision 8 and wouldn't accept its respective update (but it seems it's verified to work on Revision C, the most recent). Though the teams are said to be different, many speculate the cards are nearly identical, the readme files in both update archives are basically copy pasted with only the contact email address changed. Someone said earlier in either this thread or the front-page thread about the 3DS update itself, that the teams seem to be getting along with each other when at first they were not friendly..

and your experience is yours alone, im afraid. my Gold Plus works just fine both with 4.3.x and 4.4.0-10 with the new firmware
I can report the R4i Gold Plus from www.r4ids.com as WORKING. If anyone is wondering, it uses some Japanese four-leaf clover icon from Konami.

andy26129's probably either having dirty/damaged contact issues (on either the cartridge or the MicroSD) or needs to do a full overwrite reformat using SD Association Formatter on his MicroSD card.. but man, what a painful post to read. I'm not THAT good at Bad English.
With foreigners, at least they usually keep sentences structured to one or two ideas at a time. -.-

Came here from the main announcement thread to say that my R4i DSN 3D has a revision number 'C' and was able to update to appear as a Metroid Prime Hunters Demo cart.

Or, I also heard that if you use flash memory, it can act as more "RAM" at least windows tell me when I stick a flash drive into it. -
