Gaming Official Pokemon Conquest Discussion Thread

All I have left in the Legend of Ransei portion in terms of kingdoms is Nobunaga himself. My Eevee is ready to evolve, but I honestly don't know what to make it. I have stones, and I have access to every environment for all of the other evolutions. I know I don't want Vaporeon, Flareon, Jolteon (though, I'll admit that Jolteon had some good chances to shine earlier on), or Leafeon. I don't really need Espeon since I have that one dude with the really powerful psychic type. That just leaves me with Umbreon and Glaceon, but I don't know which will benefit me more.

Glaceon would be fantastic for what I'm about to face.
Umbreon would be fantastic for any future ghost or psychic types (where I currently have nothing that's super effective against them as a staple of my team).

Should I flip a coin? Which should I go with?

Oh, and be warned: when you do evolve Jigglypuff to Wigglytuff, the percentage for Oichi drops to 90% from 100%. I didn't know it would happen, and didn't realize it did until after I saved. I'm a little angry that I got screwed like that for trying to make Jigglypuff useful.

I found that my problem was with the firmware.
Tried a RetroGameFan one? like the one on the first post?
And r4i blue? first i heard of that

Errm yes if that didnt work, maybe try with different roms clean and patched.

I have tried other roms and I tried all of those roms on DeSume to make sure they work and they all did lol

Yes you can, just go to Wireless Play on the Title Screen.

I am. Supercard DStwo with a 4GB SDHC class 8 card. I'm getting constant slowdown/semi stuttering. Happens all the time. I can hear music tracks stutter every couple seconds. Battle activity/camera angle changes/dialogue scenes. All noticable. VERY slow between loading areas/battles/saving, and i'm not sure what the real cart speed is but it sure takes alot longer than any other tactics type game!

Sounds like there was a problem creating the .sav file. Try deleting it, and trying to boot the ROM again.

Hey pal, thanks for the advice - unfortunately it did the same again. White screen after bouncing Eevee.

It's definitely a clean ROM, matching the details of the OP. I know my firmware and EOS are up to date.

Never had trouble with any other ROMs on DSTwo.

Can you please tell me how you got this game to run? It's not working for me.

I'm having the exact same issue on my dstwo! I thought it was really odd and it must be either AP (which sounds like it especially if you can confirm that the jap release does NOT affect you in the way, and you are using the same microsd card that you ran that game on)

Bryan, the way I got it to work was to NOT have the rom installed. and I applied the patch file to the card, and then I placed the game on there. Started it up, and ran it in CLEAN mode. (press X before starting the game to open up the menu that lets you select cheats, the option to play as "patched or clean mode" will be there.

It worked but i'm getting the same slowdown issue as Bolt892.

Ladies and mostly gents, panic over. My problem is solved. 6039-Pokemon-Conquest-(U).rar was the way forward whereas 54.3mb pkmnconquest.rar (referred to on OP) seems to be a bad egg for my DSTwo. Reporting no slowdown or music glitches in any of the opening section - but haven't got far enough to say for sure, of course.

Any fellow DSTwoers still struggling to get it working would do well to disregard the OP and find 6039-Pokemon-Conquest-(U).rar instead.

I still think I have this one as it's the same size, but maybe it was a corrupted version somehow.

Funny how the DSTWO is the only trouble cart with what could easily be found.

By the by, beat the first story. It was about 10 hours long. Once you get into the groove, you really just start going from kingdom to kingdom without halting except for slight team reorganization. That is, if you're team is decent and balanced. If you load it down with one or two types, you're going to have a hell of a time the further in you get.

Yep, very odd. Odd in particular that the first post's recommendation for SuperCard isn't working for some but seems to be for others? No matter, finally playing it! Will keep me occupied till B2/W2 are out, AP is circumvented and a reasonable (menus and names tbh) translation patch is available...

Anyone know how to get the ability "Fast Runner" onto Sceptile? Serebii makes it seem as if a "Nimble" Treecko will change into it when it evolves, but since Sceptile also gets "Nimble", IDK.

Am I the only one finding it odd still no "scene" release yet? Am certainly buying this [who doesn't buy quality games???] , would like to taste first though and with a properly released file.

I find it odd as well, since it was a bit harder to find the rom online. I hope it is properly released soon.
