Is there a list out there of games working and not working with emu nand? So far I have found New Super Mario Bros and Little Kings Story hang after controller display unless you disable emu nand. Thanks!

If you put your EMU Nand on the HDD (rec. place) then most games work great from it, if it is on the SD card then a lot of games have issues (Excite truck is another).

When you mentioned speed I decided to move everything to a hard drive with a faster access time. This corrected New Super Mario Bros, however Little Kings Story still doesn't work from emu nand, nor does Metroid Prime Trilogy, Other M, or Donkey Kong Country Returns, which doesn't work with emu nand off either, appears to not like d2x at all, works great on ios222 however. Also confirmed Excite Trucks doesn't work like you mentioned. Anyway thanks for the help, and wish there was a list, cause testing all these is tedious. (:

Just to note that Hermes ios do'nt support emunand saving or ios reloading for metroid prime trilogy.
So only real nand and alt.dol method for these games when using Hermes cIOS

Can anyone help me out? For my banner animations I cant see the settings and start buttons below it but recently I hacked my friend's wii and I could clearly see the settings and start button. Is there a setting I missed for my usbloader gx?

I have been having an issue with 3.0. I can't seem to get all of my Wii game backups to show up (about half of them are missing), but they all show up fine in WiiFlow (only I don't like WiiFlow as much aesthetically so I prefer USB Loader GX) does anybody know what the problem could be? A couple of the games not showing up are Super Paper Mario and Marvel Ultimate Alliance.

I had the same problem and it was due to having a customized system menu. Once I reinstalled the original theme, the settings and start button appeared.

I just updated GX loader to version 3.0 , but now i got some problems showing my covers .
Some covers are visible , but the most of them i can't see . Also when i download the covers with GX loader they are not visible .

With my previous version 2.3 they all worked perfect .
What could be the problem ???
Covers you had became invisible, or only new games (such as channels, wiiware, vc, emunand, etc.) are invisible?
Check your path to the covers in the "user path settings".
Some games don't have covers available on gametdb.com

Covers i had became invisible , channels , wiiware, etc .... are visible .
Settings are the same as before , notting had changed , only updated GXloader from version 2.3 to 3.0
I know some covers aren't available , but almost all the covers i had are not visible now , only a few i can see .

I received some help on the IRC channel and after looking into it I was recommended here

I'm running the latest USB Loader GX on a clean emu nand with everything working, except wiiware installed on the emu nand

.It drops out to the HBC. I've tried IOS 249/250, and partial/full for both EMU chan and EMU saves.

I'm using a 2GB SD card, and a 500GB fat32 USB HDD.

Here is my syscheck: http://pastie.org/4111986

I've used GX to extract the nand to USB.
I've used GX to installt he Wad, AND ShowMiiWads to do so.
This is a completely clean install.

Any help to get my wiiware to run would be greatly appreciated!

so... would anybody know why my games are not showing up at all?

without providing us any information, you can't get much help.

1) be sure you have a clean install of USB Loader GX 3.0 - http://code.google.com/p/usbloader-gui/downloads/detail?name=USBLoader_GX_V3_0_AllinOnePackage_IOS249.zip&can=2&q=
If you use IOS249, grab the 249 version

2) Make sure you have the latest d2x cios - http://code.google.com/p/d2x-cios/downloads/detail?name=d2x-v8-final.zip&can=2&q=

3) Make sure your games are in WBFS format

4) Make sure your hard drive is in FAT32, NTFS, or WBFS format (fat32 or ntfs preferred)

5) Make sure your hard drive is plugged into the bottom usb port, the one closest to the edge of the wii

6) you may have to manually select the partition in usb loader gx settings > hard drive settings

7) You may need to manually set the path to your games if its not in /wbfs/gameid/game name [gameid].wbfs format

8) if you've done all of the above, transfer all games off your HDD, reformat to fat32, default allocation size, quick format, transfer game back on properly or with a wbfs manager

9) if it still doesn't work, your drive might be incompatible or you are still doing something wrong. You should try Wiiflow or CFG USB Loader to see if it works on there

Hi,
I've read the IRC log too.
Like you said, everything looked fine and it should work.

Did you try different WiiWare, or always the same one?
Some WiiWare/VC are not working at all on emulated NAND.

Wiware Game I know are working fine on emunand: CaveStory, Art Style Rotozoa.

If it's still not working:
Did you try dumping the NAND on SD card instead of USB?
The default path for emulated nand is sd:\nand\

Check your user path (settings > user paths).
there are two different path for emulated NAND:
- Save
- channels

Point both at the same folder.

I see you have many different IOS installed, are you sure you used the slot 249 when you dumped the NAND? (check the information in the settings>Credit page>Top right corner)

In the settings, channel on emuNand always need "full emulation".
Only "EmuNand save" can be off or partial.

I guess you missed the post I initially posed my question in
"I have been having an issue with 3.0. I can't seem to get all of my Wii game backups to show up (about half of them are missing), but they all show up fine in
c204.gif
WiiFlow (only I don't like WiiFlow as much aesthetically so I prefer USB Loader GX) does anybody know what the problem could be? A couple of the games not showing up are Super Paper Mario and Marvel Ultimate Alliance."
I assumed the information provided in my post would have covered most of the basic things to check that you mentioned, but I guess not. USB Loader is working, but not all of the games are showing up, that alone would seem to imply I have the latest version of the loader, d2x cios, wbfs backups, that my hard drive is correctly plugged in and that backups are in locations that the app can find. In fact all of the backups are wbfs files and are located together, which is why I find it strange that some of them are not showing up while others are. And, like I said, they do show up in WiiFlow, but I prefer USB Loader GX.

Hi guys: I am having a problem and am in need of assistance. Your help would be greatly appreciated. I modded a black wii using the Modify Any Wii 4.3 and Below guide - as I have done many times before. For some strange reason, the Wiimotes lose sycn when I start up GX Loader. For whatever reason, my wiimote works. However, my buddy's wiimotes that he has lose sycn.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

Thanks.

There are many reason a game could be hidden.

1) Very first reason, Maybe the folder where you placed the game on your HDD is not named correctly.
To be sure it's compatible with all loaders (and not only wiiflow), it should have the title ID in the folder name, like this:
usb:\wbfs\game name [ID6]\ID6.wbfs
with [ID6] replace by the game ID, for example zelda skyward Sword PAL :
usb:\wbfs\Zelda Skyward Sword [SOUP01]\SOUP01.wbfs

To fix all your folders at once, use WiiBackupManager > option > FAT32/NTFS > Select "Title [ID]" > enable option "fix name convention on partition mount" > ok
Now mount your partition in the main window and all game's folder will be fixed.

2) You have an active filter in the loader.

The loader allows you to filters games from:
  1. Origin: Allow you to see games fron : Wii, Gamecube, channels, Emunand
  2. Category: Click the "desk" icon, and verify that "ALL" at the top of the category list is enabled (checksign √)
  3. Favorite: Be sure the very first icon in the toolbar is not highlighted
  4. Search: You can filter by title's name, but it shouldn't be enabled by default. don't worry.
  5. Parental control: Verify that the "lock" icon is not locked. you can hide games if they need a bigger parental level than the one set in the settings.
  6. User choice: You can hide games on a game-by-game basis, and enable parental control, in addition to the "level number" of parental control setting.
  7. partition number: Verify that you have only one partition on your HDD. If you have games on multiple partition, enable the "multiple partition" settings.

@[member='Pyrate02']:
Are you using the latest release (3.0) ?
The previous version used an old libraries for wiimotes, and are not compatible with new wiimotes with Motion+ included. (Wiimote+)

Are they official nintendo's controllers?
they have enough batteries?

If all fails, try reinstalling cIOS.
I had this bug once, using cIOS deleted the Wiimote synch information in SYSCONF file.
I just reinstalled cIOS and it fixed it.

Thanks, that worked, but it is strange. I had even manually named all of my folders (in the correct format: usb:\wbfs\game name [ID6]\ID6.wbfs) and that didn't work, but it wasn't until WiiBackupManager apparently tweaked the names that the loader recognized them.

I'm glad it was just the folder's name :D
(because I hate when it's a real strange bug in the loader's code).

Edit:
Could few users test the latest beta (1190) and tell me if the Theme menu is working fine?
I fixed the bug on theme download.
But now users are reporting that they can't change theme from the normal theme menu, the loader is freezing after applying a new theme.

I tested it but didn't encounter any problem.
If someone can find the exact way to replicate it I could fix it.
Thanks ;)

So I recently installed and set up everything with this channel, it's so convenient it should be illegal! Hahaha
But I saw in the first post of the topic that Gamecube games CAN be played on it now.

What I wanted to know was if you had to somehow convert them into wbfs(which is the type of file I set my harddrive up for) or if I had to do something else? Thanks in advance :)

You have to install DML (Dios Mios Lite), which allows launching GameCube iso from the SD card.
Then you need Gamecube ISO on your SD card.

USBLoaderGX is not launching the gamecube games, it's just telling your installed DML to do it.

The games don't need to be (and can't be) in WBFS format.
You need to use the correct format used by DML. (iso, DiscEx or GCReEx).
Even easier : just rip your own Gamecube game discs using USBLoaderGX Dumping menu. It will create the game in the correct format automatically.

You should search more information about installing and using DML.
