@[member='JoostinOnline'], I thought I already answered that? I fixed the update code in v5.5.2, so when updating from v5.5.2 to a newer version the issue should go away (but updates to v5.5.2 is using the old update code). And those errors don't matter when updating older\current versions of ModMii... here's something I wrote on hacksden last week about the same issue:

I'm aware of that, it happens intermittently for me but it's fine for now because the 2 errors are 7za.exe (aka 7zip) and ModMii.exe because they are in use. But 7za never changes and therefore if it's not updated it's okay. And modmii.exe almost never changes, it's a basically a forwarder to support\modmii.bat. I'm going to investigate fixing this before a future update where I actually need to use a slightly changed\updated modmii.exe.

so yea, basically it's fine for now and when it actually matters I'll look into it.

As I said, I've looked into it and u should notice your next update go a lot smoother. If you want to test that I've gotten the issue truly fixed, open ModMii v5.5.2's support\modmii.bat and change the fourth line from "set currentversion=5.5.2" to "set currentversion=5.5.1", then check for updates. You will update from v5.5.1 (but really v5.5.2 with fixed update code) to v5.5.2 and the update should go smoothly (make sure u have a "temp" folder!)

it's all good.

btw, I'm got myself a iGo power adapter. It is freaking awesome!
http://www.igo.com/laptops/wallmax-laptop-charger/invt/ps001240012/

It's small, which is the main reason why I got it (I hated lugging around my old bulky power brick), instead of a 3 prong plug it has a 2 prong plug (so it takes up less space if u plug it into a powerbar), it can charge through a cigarette lighter or even on an airplane (not sure how it works on a plane) and it's able to charge other devices when you're using it to charge your laptop. And to top it all off it comes with a bunch of different clips so you can keep using it even if you switch laptops.

I swear, Seagate and iGo should pay me for advertising their products, lol.

@pepxl,
when you go to this webpage:
http://code.google.c...e+DownloadCount

Do you see ModMii5.5.2.zip listed there? If not, your issue will likely resolve itself when your cache gets updated\cleared.

yep thats seems to have sorted it, google code says "updated 102 minutes ago" as of now, cache must of needed clearing as i downloaded the previous 5.5.2 a few hours ago now

Seems to be fine now, thanks for the update, might of been a user error as a tend to manually delete folder after ModMii's done its thing instead of clearing old data using ModMii itself

ModMii has since matured into a beast since i last used it, loving the new option availabe, just need to refresh myself with the wii again since its been sometime since its been turned on now, excellent work

Hello all!

Can anyone help me with this issue in MMM?

Im trying to unlock my Wii with ModMii and I am following the ModMii guide. But at certain point it says that I need to use MMM to install the wad files, so I installed the IOS236 and when I try to use the MMM option called "Wad Manager" its says: error mounting device SD and then "Please select a storage device : press A to mount, B to return, D-PAD to change". So I select "A" and the message "error mounting device SD" appears again and nothing more happens.

I already tried to reinstall the IOS236 (Using IOS236 Installer method and also using Simple IOS Patcher method), formatted my SD (FAT and FAT32), but without success. Also, the SD card is non-SDHC with 1GB.

Any tip?

Thanks a lot.

I just answered your question in the other thread u posted it. plz don't post the same question in multiple places (at least not until u've waited ample time for someone to respond to your first post)

edit:
u see, now u have ppl helping u in 2 places

in mmm, try reloading to IOS236 before loading the wad manager, or try another sd card
First, thanks for your help.

I already tried to reload to IOS236 and its says: "sucessful" in MMM. =(
But I dont have another SD card. Can I try it with a USB drive?

Yeah you would want a fix, because he is not getting any new crazy beta shit, just a crazy new bug.

Only us cool and privileged people get the "crazy new beta shit", but that only means that you are spending many hours playing around with something that could be very buggy.

'Beta' does not always mean 'great'. Quite on the contrary, it is only meant for people who truly understand and will go out of their way to find bugs. This isn't like getting your hands on the Windows 8 beta and being cool among your friends bc you are the first dumb person to play with it. But go ahead, I'll send you the beta, but if your wii becomes bricked because you were too ignorant to understand the cautions of it being a "beta" then we will all laugh at your eager misfortune.

Do you still want it or are you willing to wait until it is tested and true?

(Not as if ModMii has ever ever caused any wii to be bricked, but at least to put you in your place that you are probably not worthy)

I detect sarcasm !
No really, it is not sarcasm. People always want beta shit shit just so they get to play with it even though they have no clue of what it means. Look back to the wanky beta days and you'll understand that people are just greedy.

EDIT: Being that it is coming from MassiveRican, he probably is just doing it for the lulz. I should have paid attention to the name first before replying. Well played... well played.

From anyone else it would have been serious even in that context.

And I agree with you wholeheartedly DeadlyFoez, now I was just poking fun and throwing in a bit of humor at the bug found and by no means meant to get a rile out of anyone. People are greedy and showoff's and have no clue what they're doing and obviously it's an issue with no further need to be touched upon, but ouch, I almost felt like I was getting ripped a new one lol.

I'm no newbie, but I know where I stand as far as my contributions to the community, so all I can do is mod, test a bit, report whatever might be useful and throw in a bit of dry humor and sarcasm in the mix. Whether I'm "worthy" or not, is not for me to judge or even consider and I leave that up to creators, coders and the likes which are trusted with their use and distribution for testing ;) All hail domo-kun

6.0.0 Changelog
  • ModMii now comes bundled with ModMii Skin, a GUI wrapper that uses\requires "ModMii Classic". Not all features of ModMii Classic are supported in ModMii Skin. ModMii Skin supports the following functions: ModMii Wizard, Abstinence Wizard, USB-Loader Setup, HackMii Solutions, Region Change, Load a Download Queue, SNEEK Installation and NAND builder and Options (including updates).
  • Hot Keys are also supported in ModMii Skin for that "ModMii Classic" feel. For example, you can switch between ModMii Skin and ModMii Classic by typing "M" at either Main Menu then hitting Enter.
  • ModMii Installer updated to v6.0. It is able to install ModMii v6.0.0 and above. It too has a "Skin" and gives you the option of making shortcuts to ModMii or ModMii Skin on the Desktop and\or the Start Menu. Older versions of the installer will install ModMii v5.5.2, then it will automatically run ModMii after installation and prompt you to update to the most recent version.
  • wizapp.exe is now bundled with ModMii and the ModMii Installer in order to support Skin Mode.
  • Added play sound at finish option and it's enabled by default. If enabled, it will play a success sound when downloads are successful and an error sound if there are errors. Thanks to my cuz Violator for making these unique short tracks for me on such short notice.
  • Updated WiiFlow on ModMii's Download Page 2. It is now an autoupdating download that will grab the most recent release of WiiFlow.
  • Updated how the latest hosted version of postloader is detected to support recent changes that were made to the googlecode webpage.
  • Updated md5 of postloader channel forwarder so the updated version isn't considered "invalid".
  • You may have noticed reading this changelog somewhere new. ModMii has a new official website, modmii.zzl.org. Some highlights include a support page with links to the official ModMii forum as well as the new official ModMii IRC channel. Thanks goes out to DeadlyFoez who pretty much put the whole thing together by himself. Also thanks to RobGee789 for graphics and CaseyOmah for helping DeadlyFoez out with some html code.
  • Big thanks to person66 for updating his script to launch ModMii and ModMii Skin with an icon, arguments and other useful functions. I also want to thank RobGee789 and M3RK for the awesome graphics they made for ModMii Skin.
  • No animals were harmed in the making of this skin.
  • Other minor changes.

Hey all,
I just wanted to mention something else about this update.

If you want you can now customize your modmii! You can optionally replace the success.mp3 and fail.mp3 saved to ModMii's "support" folder to have your own custom audio alerts (note, ModMii will only play the first 3 seconds of these tracks, that cannot be changed without modifying the source of ModMii directly).

You can also customize the images saved to ModMii's "support\bmp" folder. Just make sure the filename and dimenstions are the same. Here's an example of an alternate x-rated sidebar image for ModMii's Abstinence Wizard (by M3RK).

Note that anything you customize will be overwritten during updates, so be sure to keep a backup of your custom files somewhere other than the ModMii\Support folder.

I hope everyone is enjoying ModMii Skin! I spent a looooot of time on it, and it's nice to know ppl are finally making use of ModMii Classic's command line support (even if they don't realize it, lol)

Note to ModMii's current and potential translators:

Translating ModMii Skin is a LOT easier than translating ModMii Classic. Not only is ModMii Skin about 10% of the size of ModMii Classic but it's a lot easier to identify the areas that need to be translated.

To translate ModMii Skin, open support\modmiiskin.bat in a text editor and search for:

Code:
set watext=
Then just translate what comes to right of the equal sign.

Also search for:
Code:
set wainput=
Most of these will not need to be translated because they are the names of the actual selections. (ie. "Priiloader" should be spelled the same in all languages, but things like "Start Here to Mod Your Wii!" would change)

And in the ":OtherOptions" and ":SNEEKOptions" sections, also search for:
Code:
set waoutput=
this only needs to be changed to match any changes that may have been made to "set wainput=", and the only sections where this applies are ":OtherOptions" and ":SNEEKOptions"

Note that ModMiiSkin does not support special characters, so your translation will have to use standard English letters (ModMii Classic can continue to display special characters though).

And that's it! Aside from that you can optionally edit the images found in "support\bmp" to change the text. Let me know if you want to do that and I can send you existing photoshop psd files to help you do that.

So basically, anyone should be able to translate ModMii Skin (not ModMii Classic) in a few hours (but again special characters are not supported).

If you are not already one of ModMii's official translators, please drop me a PM to let me know if you plan on making a partial translation (ie. just ModMii Skin) or a full translation (ModMii Skin + ModMii Classic).

Enjoy!
