Animal Wars Canceled

New details were shared today on one of Factor 5's exclusive projects for the Sony PlayStation 3. Originally trademarked in 2004, the title, Animal Wars, was among the exclusive multi-game contract between Factor 5 and Sony, in which the only to see release was 2007's Lair. First details on Animal Wars have surfaced via a former Factor 5 employee today on the NeoGAF forums. According to the employee, Animal Wars was similar to Warhawk but with animals waging war against each other. You can find a couple screens of the game below as well as a comment from a former F5 employee.

I worked at F5 long ago and that beaver is from a game called "Animal Wars" that was a World War II themed game that played like Warhawk but war between animals. It was f**king amazing looking and was way better than Lair so it made all of us sad it got cancelled.

What.

This game was either going to be the greatest thing ever or so stupid that it would have ruptured the space time continium. I'm not sure whether or not I should be mad at Sony.

I have never even heard of this game, and I honestly think that I have wasted some space in my brain by reading about it.

should I feel sad.... I'm not surprised it got canceled it was probably like "Agent" it was being worked on around the launch of the ps3 for some reason they couldn't get shit done on the game and it got shut down, simple as that. I can only think of two games that had released/leaked footage of an almost complete good looking game that was then cancelled [star wars battlefront 3 and stargate alliance]

After lair they still didn't learn.
Production staff: "Hmmmm maybe if we take out the dragon and throw in random animals, put wings on them, change some level textures...
Think they'll buy it?"
Programmer: "maybe when pigs fly"
Tester: "you guys made pigs fly and the game still sucks."

Seriously, silicon knights is all but gone, yet these idiots are even allowed to voice their ideas??!!!
If they ever release another game, everyone better run away screaming.
