So I was wondering what you guys are using right now. Just write down what version of Android you are using and what type of ROM, such as one with Sense 3.5,Sense 2.1, MiUi, CyanongenMod 7, etc. Currently on my Incredible 2 I am using MiUI looks nice, but I usually use my stock Android 2.3.3 Sense 2.1.

I'm using a modified 2.2 Rom called AndMelk LoC v1.1a on my LG Optimus Chic, one of the few roms available and the original one just sucks....
might have a chance to upgrade it to cyanogenmod 7.1 in a while though... installed that yesterday on a ZTE Blade from a friend, what a amazing rom... works great

Thinking of installing cyanogenmod, but haven't looked into the process of doing so yet.

Piece of piss mate. People on 2.3.2 have had SIM issues, I had to update to 2.3.3 first and then Gingerbreak followed by CM7.1flash, apparently something to do with the baseband version of 2.3.2. Barcode reader apps don't function at the mo as do the touchpads. I've raised issues on these and am waiting a response. Also, you will lose the PS Pocket app so you won't be able to DL freebies like Asphalt. Lol, I've probably just talked you out of it

The PS Pocket isn't an issue for me as I run XPse anyways, and CM as a whole is pretty good. The phone seems to run alot quicker and bootup is miles quicker. Plus, having clockworkmod installed is a massive bonus

I got CM 7.1 on my Motorola Milestone . I used a modified official rom when I first got it a year ago cause the official had no market but after it stoped getting updates I switched to CM & have been happy with it for about 8 months now .

What is a ROM? I just got a Samsung Galaxy S2 so I am new to Android phones.
Well ROM stand for read-only memory . In android phones it usually refers to the version of android running on the device . Other than the official ones made by the phone company there are usually several other unofficial ROMs with different looks & features that you can install on your device . Check xda forums if you are curious about the what ROMs you can install on your phone .

On my HTC DHD I'm using Android Revolution HD v 5.2.3 - It uses Android 2.3.3 with HTC 'Sense 2.0'....

I chose this because it's the nearest to stock ROM that I could find, which I need because I have a HTC 'Lifetime Navigation' which I believe I'll lose if I DON'T use 'Sense'

Not upgraded to the latest (ARHD v6.1.3/Android 2.3.5/Sense 3) as it'll mean reinstalling everything again - & I just can't be bothered just yet

Motorola Atrix with Cyanogenmod 7.1. Much faster than blur based stuff, but also the only non-blur rom available right now for my phone.
