Did you find some way to dump 3DS cartridges? --Popoffka 09:15, 1 June 2011 (CEST)
Yes, someone found a way to dump the data on 3DS cards. Unfortunately the method cannot be disclosed, and at this point dumping is not really useful since most of the information is encrypted. Neimod 10:03, 1 June 2011 (CEST)

its done through a method of connecting some extra cables on the motherboard pinouts to a computer and then you can dump the data

not recommended as its requires hard modding your 3DS currently
What would be the software needed to act as "translator' between the code on the 3DS and the PC's os? I would like to see a pic of where he got the connection.

If you cannot afford to buy games but hope to have someone dump it just for piracy then you shouldn't buy 3DS. Save your money for something else you can afford. A piracy is like a thief and its wrong. Correct me if I am wrong and a proof why the piracy is not illegal.
If you have those types of feelings than you don't need to be reading these forums. Your name suggest that you like the SNES game Mega man and Forte', Don't BS me and say you have an actual copy of this game. You most likely "Down Loaded" the rom and patched it. AKA you pirated as well. It kinda bugs me when we are on a "Hacking" site , we tend to get these "I'm holier than Thou" jerks talking down to people who are at least honest about what they want a hack for.

P.S.: if you say you have the GBA version it's called "Mega Man and Bass"

Please do not assume me like that. I had Rockman & Forte Super Famicom a long time ago before I even knew there were emulators and roms. I played Rockman & Fort actually cart game in 1995 or something. I sold it to Ebay with Super NES System and Super Famicom System. Yes, I collected them a long time ago.

Anyway, when did I said I have an actual copy of this game ? It was not in my profile, was it ? Very funny. I am always still a fan of RockmanForte and I still am today. I never did say that I have this game with me. Where did you see that ? Then dont guess falsely against me. That's not very nice. This GBATEMP is about friendship and opening.

Yes, I downloaded the rom and patched it to understand the English. I don't believe in LYING and I do not want to because its not cool. I like to be honest. You are right. I knew that piracy is wrong and illegal but I did it anyway just like you guys. I also jailbreak my iphone 3GS and downloaded apps as well as unlocked phone. Now I removed them and updated to 4.33 and no jailbreak and apps and unlocked anymore. I also have PS3 with piracy as well but I am going to remove them and update to 3.60 or further instead of 3.41 with dongle.

I feel that I am following people to the wrong path to piracy stuff. It was wrong of me to copy people what they are doing. From now on, I should follow my own heart and my own cleanness. Thank you for assume me but you are wrong. I am going to buy used games (I dont need to buy brand new games anymore.. used games will do me just fine since it willl be cheaper.)

EDIT: Yes, I have Game Boy Advance copy of Megaman & Bass with me, thought.

I prefer Rockman&Forte in japan version but I dont have it so yeah I have an English box and cart for GBA.

well, if that is how your conscience works for you then good. How ever i will warn ya on the used games. The Developer companies are saying that is worse than pirating because it cuts them out of the loop. I am just saying this site has quite a few hypocrites. Thank you for calmly explaining your side.

P.S.: you were a fool to have got rid of your cartridge, Mega Man is cool.

Thank you.

Indeed, I was a fool to have got rid of my cartridge for Super Famicom but I am glad not to get rid of GBA version. I might get super famicom of Rockman & Forte mint condition back in the near future. Yeah, Megaman is awesome.

Actually when I am planning to buy a used games then I would rip it to my backup manager of PS3 (This time I am keeping 3.41 with dongle) that way it is not illegal to me and save blu ray's laser from worn out and loading on hard drive much faster. Is that good ? or that was not your point ?

Sorta off topic but...

Even if they managed to dump a 3DS file, i only wonder the file size. 1GB?
Maxim (the IC manufacturer, not the magazine) announced ROM chips of up to 2GB in size. Just guessing, I don't think many of the current games have more than 700MB on average.

EDIT: Too stupid/lazy to verify this; please disregard me.
