That's a firmware issue. Someone says that you need to use Wood for M3 to play the game fine.

Just wondering, Tyrant, what happened when you switched only the .sdat files? Did the game freeze?

I downloaded the game patched with you patch a while back and have been meaning to thank you. This has honestly been probably one of my favorite games EVER on the nds. I could'nt deal with having a Gouenji called Axel so I did'nt even play at first. I've beat the game now and have all of my guys at high levels. Anyways thanks so much for the patch I hope you'll do it for part 2 as well if they ever translate it lol.

does inazuma eleven remastered version works on R4 DSi LL(ITS A GREEN R4)AND it is v1.6 and if it doesnt work tell which wood or firmware i should download

Read the first post of this thread about M3 Real.

I've gone through the entire thread. I can't seem to find anything other than to install wood r4 for m3 but as I explained that firmware doesn't seem to work for me. Please help

Hey everyone, I just got the clean rom and downloaded the patch, before patching I tried the clean rom everything is well, but after patching it it becomes japanese voices and such which is great, but the characters show up as black shadows! That didn't happen when I tried it as it is, but after patching it with the latest patch it became like this. I'm using R4i Upgrade Revolution cart.

P.S: I'm using latest firmware for the card, just posted a few days ago.

Try to find a Wood firmware 1.25 or better.
Also ask in M3 forum here.

That can be, because you are using a firmware like YSMenu.
You should use another firmware like Wood (YSMenu have that problem).

I had the same issue, but I also have an R4, I tried the game on the R4 Wood and it works, but it doesn't on the R4i SDHC, so what you're saying is, R4i is YSMenu related? And is there a Wood firmware for R4i?

SDAT files are a common DS audio format used by most games.

This game however uses a custom format- extensions in the game are ph (a header format of a sort- names in ASCII and entries for seemingly size and location- 32 bytes per entry) and pb (the container) but inside those are SED (sedl is the magic stamp), SMD (smdl for the magic stamp) and SWD (swdl being the magic stamp) files. It looks like every file (SED or SMD) has a matching SWD file.

If you fancy pulling it apart the devs left a makefile in there ( 024D75E8 and included below), nowhere near as nice as the zoids game that have us the SMAP file (that pretty much led to the entire SDAT format being reverse engineered) though.

No no, I'm using the official firmware for my card which is posted on their website, I don't like using custom firmware. Is there no way out of this except for using wood? :/ that'd suck.. but why would this happen only with the patched version though? I thought all it does is dedub not change anything fundamental :S

Update: I just tried playing it using R4 Wood still didn't work, always gets stuck on "processing" and the sav file stays at 0kb, I tried with wood versions 1.27, 1.26 and 1.25 all same result

I had the black shadow bug too after using Tokyo trimmer to trim my translated rom.
if you trimmed the rom too, try an untrimmed one, or use another trimmer.

Read the first post of this thread.
But the thing is, you can't use Tokyo Trimmer with this, you need to use R4DS ROM Trimmer 2.0 to trim the game and not break it.

Hey guys.
I've been playing this game nonstop with this patch and I think its amazing but i ran into a problem
Im at the last battle right now and all of a sudden, there's no more sound playing. When i get to the part where the girls are getting a certain *liquid*, the screen turns to black and stays that way
Appreciate if i can get any help

EDIT: nvm, i just reloaded the last save and it worked fine =)

I don't know how to trim so no I don't think it's trimmed

I just applied the patch on the clean rom.

I tried practically everything, the closest thing I got to 'working' is taking the sav file created on the r4i for the clean rom, putting it in the r4 and then starting the game with r4 wood sdhc version. It works, and I can sav at times, but not always, the sav file gets "corrupted and deleted" very very often, so much that it's practically impossible to get anywhere in the game at that rate, but that's the closest I got to it working. I'm going to try to somehow open up the clean rom on the r4 and have the sav created there but doubt it'll work. I still don't understand why this only happens with the dedubbed rom and not the clean one, it's not supposed to change anything fundamental isn't it?
