homebrew channel 1.0.8 (10S34 v14.23)
Try reinstalling the HBC so it uses IOS58. Not sure if it will help, but that's how my Wii is set up.

Ok thanks. When I get home from work I'll give that a go.

edit: Well I reinstalled the hbc etc and its was doing the same thing. I think I've found out the problem though... I've got a wiimote docking/charger attached to a usb port and if this isn't connected then all seems fine. As soon as I reconnect it (even after starting the emu) after about 20 seconds it craps out? So for now at least it works when I want to play this version of the emu as I can just unplug it. Strange though as this charger (which I've allways had and used with my wii) has never afected any homebrew before (inlcuding all your previous revisions of mame) but for some reason it craps out on 0.6 mame??
If it's just a charger, it probably doesn't even have to be connected to the Wii. Any USB port with enough power should work just as well.

Well its actualy a hub that has a charger and also my usb keyboard plugged in but I guess for this version (0.6) of the emulator I'll just unplug it when I want play or revert to 0.5 if I need the keyboard/charger.

Thanks

I love this emulator. One thing, how is the widescreen enabled. I usually play Simpsons, TMNT, Xmen games like that, all of them are in the middle of my tv with large black boxes on the left and right of the screen (I have a 52" Toshiba Widesreen). I went into settings to check and full screen was enabled and I also checked the sliders and there was not anything to actually stretch the screen. On .5 this was ok and I saw that Toad King added widescreen support. Just curious how it works. Thanks again.

The black bars are there to maintain the correct aspect ratio. Otherwise the picture get stretched.

A bit of a question...is there a working forwarder for this emulator?

(preferably an iso forwarder...but a channel one would be good too)
Last I heard it wasn't working with forwarders.

I finally found sf II that works. Can't get Sf II CE to work though. Got it off the same place. Wonder why... Any how I'm happy that I can play some of my favorite arcade titles from my youth in the comfort on my own home (best part for free). Thanks Toad King for porting this emu. Even with a short compatibility it's still a great emulator.

This is like deja vu all over again. This "here is a dol, inject it in a channel" sounds familiar to me...and I couldn't get it to work last time either.

I'm sorry, but I can't create channels. I tried googling and following this tutorial on customizemii, but though it all seems to work (a channel is created that can be installed) to compile...it either black screens on me, is stuck at a "Loading, please wait..." screen with a 3/4-circle arrow next to it, or reads the file correctly and then spends an eternity on "Loading dol..."*

Is there anything specific I have to mention? Is 35 as default IOS okay? Is the folder \apps\sdlmamewii? (I have it on both SD and USB for the time being).

All in all, a little more help would be nice. And I don't mind at all how the channel looks (I'll be loading it from within wiiflow anyway).

*that is with the simple forwarder, so has nothing to do with your dol.

I will upload the channel for you when I can. I just have to get it off my sd card. And yes it forwards to \apps\sdlmamewii (I think so, I will check). I dont think it matters what ios your using. I just put the dol on my sd card and bam.

I have a very BIG question:

What rom set does this loader plays?

No matter what zip I put in the roms folder it doesn't work.

Hey your welcome guys. Also it uses MAME 0.134u4 rom sets. There is a compatibility list around too. The emulator can be picky so make sure you have all the rom sets or the game will not play. Good luck Lex.

Ugh. I'm trying to get Golden Axe and Double Dragon to work, but I keep coming up short. I've tried using clrmamepro and many different resources but I still get "missing roms/chd" messages. I've got parents and clones, Japan, US, World. There has got to be some easy solution that I'm not seeing.

I have both these games working. I'll check the exact names and contents when I get home, but 'til then you might wanna take a look at this list. It has all supported games and links. That doesn't mean they all work, but the links therein should get you the right names and needed files within the zip files.

EDIT: Here we are. The contents of the only .zip file needed. The name must be the exact same (though probably not even case-sensitive). On the left is the size in bytes. I dunno if they need to be the exact same, but all the files should be there. If they're not, you've missing a child or parent or something like that:
