Anyone?

it's much easier to build it yourself than ask for it.
I can not build it anymore. What libogc are you using? TY

I'm building it without error using the latest libOGC compilation released especially for the loader, here : r4449 for PPC r22

Note that r22 doesn't allow code Dump backtrace anymore

So if you need to debug the code dumps, use devkitPPC r21 (But it seems there no more the file libogc_R4316 for r21 on the download page)

I can not build it at all, goes all the way to linking boot.elf and then come up with a whole bunch or errors.

Please, use the 1008 from the beta test issue.

That way, you will have the same version as Dimok, and if you encounter a code dump he will be able to traceback the location.
If you find a code dump, we need the "stack dump" data (with the arrows).

That version's been working great for me. It solved the code dump when trying to use Alt DOL. Now the only real problem I have is not being able to force 480p mode for the Metroid Prime Trilogy. Unfortunately I don't think it's high priority for the project since it's more of a missing feature than a bug.

Hoping someone can help. Still noobish so bear with me. I've had GX installed since I hacked my Wii last xmas. Has worked with no problems other than Orcania not working but no big deal. I have a WD 160gb Passport with 55+ backups on it. They worked flawlessly til recently I tried to install some stupid Ready to Rumble ripoff. Now most of my games start to freeze after loading. Any fixes or am I going to have to reformat the drive? Thanks in advance.

I added the boot.dol to the gx folder. Do I add boot.elf too? Just asking cuz this update is a lot bigger than the original I have installed.

You only need one, the dol is usually the best one to use.

Well good news: Orcania works again. Bad news: Still got freeze issue. Will try some more games but if it continues, will a drive reformat work or is it GX?

Using USB Loader GX r938. When playing Raving Rabbids Party Collection I find that I have to go into game load settings each time and set the specific alt dol (rr1, rr2 & rr3) to use each time I want to run a different game out of the collection. Is there not a way to setup USB Loader GX to pop up a choice of what alt dol to use each time I launch the game without having to go into the game settings each time???

The Alternative Dol+ method is not implemented (yet?).
When Dimok and me talked about that feature, there were only Sam&Max 1 which needed altdol+ to boot different chapter using the same .dol file.
We decided it wasn't important, people could use Neogamma for that only game, and there were no games needed multiple dol that often (ex. metroid trilogy only needed it when finishing one game, etc.).

Dimok ended the released beta version at r1010, it seems this version is stable enough, and will now start again to convert the rest of the code to cleaner and better code.
We will add new features after that.

I thought that MPT needed it to start or even play the games

. That, and the difficulty was always "veteran" if you didn't load the retail disc and had to load an alternative .dol file. Or was this somehow fixed when I wasn't looking?

You are right.
Metroid still need it to start the desired "chapter" : boot.dol (the main menu to create a save file), then reload into PM1.dol, MP2.dol or MP3.dol

That's what I explained, you only needed to switch the booting dol when you wanted to switch the game to play.
It wasn't necessary to select a different dol each time you launched the game (because the dol is memorized).
Do it once, and you are done (SSX blur, red steel, etc., only do it 1 time).

So, the "Alt dol + menu" wasn't really needed for these games, because you always launch the same one.
Only (at that time) Sam & Max 1 needed it every time you played it (because it's always reloading the same boot.dol file, you can't choose a different .dol in the preferences).
Now 3 games really need it, we should implement it in a future release -_^

I think you mixed "Alt Dol" and "Alt Dol + menu", which are 2 different things.
