sorry to be thick, i know i am being thick here.....

how do you return to menu?

all works fine, select video and it plays. i can pause, fastforward or rewind, turn the volume up and down, but i cant return to the menu or quit or anything. in mplayer ce, pressing the b button would bring up the list but it isnt doing anything.

You just press the home button on the wiimote, if you press it again after that while in the menu it exits the application

I Updated to 1.0.1 and installed the IOS202[WiiMC]

Reloading (instead of pressing resume) the currently playing file over SMB is buggy, sometime it hang the loader or code dump.

A lot of files are laggy (seems to be related to hx64), the wii is not powerful enough to read some streams correctly.

Some files code dumps from USB or SMB (but did the same with MPCE0.76) (tested with one_piece[N-F].mp4 (h264))

Interface problem :
- setting the sound volume using the slidebar un/pause the video.

- Only 4:3 video mode is displaying fullscreen. other formats are cropping the image on the side of my 16:9 TV (particularly noticing with cropped subtitles)

On a personal note :
I find the "home" button not a good choice for both "back to menu" and "back to HBC" as I tend to want to push Home again to go back to the playing media.

I think it would be better to have another wiimote button to quit to hbc (I don't think the Power button is mappable, too bad), or an on-screen button to quit.
Or use B to go to menu, and home to HBC. Though, B was sometime pushed inadvertently with 0.76, so it's better to use Home.

after a few testing, i find that some mkv files run fine whilst others are buggy. it either lags or the audio seems to be in slow motion.

mp4 and flv files both work.

I use Hermes v5 ios202 base38 and it works great. The ios from the WiiMC installer didn't work so great for me, still a lot of code dumps.

I second this! That would make this the best media player ever.. to be able to play DVD-movies without burning DVD's.

got a crashdump on one movie, but rest seem to work. the progress spinner and wiimote pointed become choppy when i try to load that movie, is that indicative of a particular issue? using WiiMC 1.0.1, the same movies playback fine in mplayer ce.

should i install 202 from the wiimc site? i didnt do that.

Too tired to test it out now.

davidsl, I modded your forwarder using a forwarder dol I found in the WiiMC forum, hope you don't mind:

Well thanks! You beat me to that xD I already updated my channels, so here:
Wii-like Channels Thread

I used the .dol from that Person66 channel, so it should work. I can't test it so please post if it works/doesn't work for you in the channel thread

I am unable to play avi/divx/xvid that are longer in length. I'm not sure what the limit is, but Farscape Peacekeeper Wars is 3+ hrs long and it errors after the initial buffering. All other "normal length" episodes and movies work fine. Peacekeeper Wars works fine on my PC/PS3/360.

Also, a button assigned for changing the aspect ratio would be wonderful!
