Its probably being hammered quite hard with the recent release of th game. It takes a few tries. It failed a few times for me before I can get on.

I'm gona buy myself a copy. This brings back a lot of childhood memories and I'm really enjoying every minute of the game.

Where are you training your pokemon? I'm trying to beat the 8th gym leader but he's too strong and I can't find anywhere with pokemon over level 23-4 to train. All my pokemon are level 30-32 and they're getting slaughtered by Clair.

I'm fighting Team Rocket in the Radio Tower and this is my team:
Lvl 34 Ampharos
Lvl 32 Scyther
Lvl 34 Vulpix
Lvl 32 Feraligatr
Lvl 30 Red Gyarados
Lvl 16 Farfetch'd (HM whore)

I'm planning to stop and do some training when I finish the Radio Tower before I move on.

I know there's a way to transfer a real cart to a .sav but I don't know about the other way around. I'll be fine as long as I can transfer my pokemon over to SS.

I think in the WiFI Backuptool from Rudolph is an option to reupload a savefile from your harddisk to the original cardridge but I´m not shure, will try it with anouther game after I set up the dongle and ftp setings on my virtual xp, but I realy dont know if would work with HG/SS due to the age of the program. gues we have to wait and see if someone tries (or you have to wait till the 26. when I get my copy from EU retail and try myself.

EDIT: So, tested my theory with Guitar Hero Decades, as for this game its all working, can backup the .sav from the cardridge to my harddrive and when I uploaded a .sav created with a rom of the game on my AK2i it worked just fine, so I hope it will do with HG/SS as well.

Can someone do a quick trade through Diamond and this game with me? I have my Pikachu-colored Pichu on Diamond, and I want it on my SS for the event in Ilex Forest, but I only have one DS. Can I trade it to someone from my Diamond, and have them trade it to my SS?

The manual states it's IR, and it has the same kind of shiny, black...top part that all remotes have. Even the Wiimote has one. And I think it IS a different material. Compare the gamecard colors, and you'll notice a big different.

???(Maybe just Pokemon?) - Black(This could be DSi-Enhanced)

I finally got Pokémon SoulSilver today. And I transferred a Sentret to the Pokéwalker. Apparently, your Pokémon can grow only 1 level per walk. Now I have a few questions.

1. What's the step to experience ratio? How much experience will my Sentret get from, say, 1000 steps?
2. Will the Pokéwalker notify me if my Sentret gains a level, so I know to transfer it back?

EDIT: Okay, I just found out the answer to Question 2. The Pokéwalker will NOT notify me when it has grown a level.

1. I've heard it's 1 exp. per 1 step from a lot of people, but I'm not exactly positive.
2. It will tell you when you send it back to the game, but it won't tell you on the Pokewalker itself.

And I just confirmed Question 1 for myself. It's indeed 1 experience per step!

Wow! Some of you guys are really slow! That one due took 25h to just beat the FIRST Elite 4, I beat them around the 12-hour-ish mark. I have 12 badges with about 16 hours of play-time (I'm using Marriland's guide btw). Have a Lv 55 Typhlosion, Lv 55 Feraligatr, Lv 55 Tyranitar (woo), Lv 53 Ampharos, Lv 51 Machamp and a Lv 51 Alakazam (I'm training the last 3 almost exclusively to catch up with the first 3.

So, I have been walking a bit with my Sentret to level it up. It's now level 12 or so and I noticed that it still had the same three moves it began with: Scratch, Foresight and Defense Curl.
Thinking it strange, I checked Bulbapedia and saw it should've learned Quick Attack at level 7! So, now I'm like "WHAT!?"

Can anyone confirm this? Pokémon will not learn ANY moves when taken with the Pokéwalker.

Okay, my Sentret just turned level 15, and it didn't evolve.

Can anyone confirm this too? Pokémon will not evolve when taken with the Pokéwalker.

So if I use the Pokewalker, the Pokemon only levels up based on how much steps you make? There's no effect to EVs and all that?
