You replaced the whole folder with the one from the v51.zip and it didn't work? That is weird. Not sure how to fix it. Hmm, on a hunch, try temporarily renaming your current apps to app2 or something and make a new apps folder with only Cfg inside of it and see if you can launch it.

yes that worked, so should I just make a brand new apps folder and put all the apps back in the new folder? thanks

I think you possibly have multiple folders in your old apps folder with Cfg in them or something (and you were selecting the wrong one). Just copy each of the apps you do want from the old one to the new one and you should be good.

I checked my SD card apps folder and there was a USBLoader folder in there, don't know why that was since I never installed it onto the SD card, I only installed onto the USB drive, very weird, thanks for helping me figure out the problem

I want to request that this bug be revised, because is in the newer versions of the loader.

Btw, i found a little bug:
When you go to the console version of the menu and you see the list of games, if you don't move the controller meanwhile you are listening a music (if you have this option actived) and past about 5-10 minutes, the list of games shrink about 30% of the games that appear in the page of the list.
If you keep doing nothing, the list keep shrinking. And if you move, the list fixes automatically.
For example, if you have in a page about 30 games, in 10 minutes you see that the list shrink to 20 games, and after others 10 minutes, you have 10 games in the list.

I found this a little weird.

Also, with the languages support, will be great if also add a option to download via wifi the languages and in the loader, choose what language you want?

The bug has been found and fixed. Wait for the next version.

Language download would need someone to host a site that would store all the translation files and allow upload of new ones and so on. If somebody makes such a site, then it can be added to Cfg, but you can pretty much guarantee this is not something the Cfg team will want to host.

I just realized that when I have a SD card inserted into the Wii, the HBC 1.0.6 will not read the USB drive but it will when the card is not inserted, can Wad Manager install wads off the USB drive instead of the SD card?

No idea. Many homebrew apps do work on FAT32 partitions, though. Also, if you have an SD card plugged in, you can still access the apps on the USB drive by pushing 1 on the Wiimote and selecting the USB device and selecting OK.

Yes it can select USB or USB 2.0 in wad manager. Also in the Homebrew Channel press 1 and you can change the apps from sd to USB.

Auto is an interesting choice, but most people have no clue which partition is first and not realise they need to change it to the other one. It would also screw up existing users that have a FAT partition and WBFS partition on their drives and the FAT partition is first, but they've been happily using the default WBFS1 option of partition. They would lose access to all their games until they change partition when they update to the new version with an auto default.

Thanks for your answer...

Actually, take into account that "auto" option does not cancel the others... people who wants to use WBFS1 even if it is the second partition in the HD can use partition=wbfs1

My problem is that I have cIOS222 as the default, hence I have no IOS reloading problems, but if I set FAT1 whenever I connect my WBFS HD or my NTFS one I have to tell the loader to change the partition since the loader looks only to FAT1...
Ok, this is just a couple of click stuff, but GX "eats" any HD whatever it is formatted in and it is strange to see something in GX which has not been made in Configurable...

Finally, in an italian forum I follow, half of the questions of the users are related to the "two versions" of the loader (I know that they are the same with just 3 default settings changed, but this sounds strange to some people)... hence having only one loader version like GX could help... Ok, people should be more smart, but this witness a sort of "market demand"...

Thanks again for your kind attention...

Yes, but we don't want a situation which forces people to update their config.txt when it worked previously. One of the prime features of all Cfg upgrades is to be backwards compatible wherever possible.

Perhaps oggzee could be convinced that if there is only one partition on the drive (or even one type of partition), then it could automatically select that partition. Alternatively, you could set your partition to "ask".

We already had two versions of the loader (plain and -222) before oggzee figured out FAT32 in the first place. Now we just have more of a reason for it and things aren't going to change. Having two versions does give a benefit as some people don't want to have IOS249 on their Wii at all. I guess the only thing we can do is continue to teach the ignorant.

OK, thanks again... but my suggestion was actually aimed to those not using IOS249...

This is actually the idea... if you have IOS222 and hence you can use WBFS, FAT and NTFS, why ask what partition to use if there is only one ...

If the defaults is a problem you may think to something like:

partition = [WBFS1], ...WBFS4, FAT1, ...FAT9, NTFS1, ...NTFS9, ask, first

where "first" loads the first partition and the default is untouched...

I have been getting this for a while now where it fails to load and either returns to the system menu or just crashes the Wii (i.e black screen with no remote!)

I have managed to resolve the issue by loading cfg from SD instead of USB (i.e moving apps\usbloader_cfg folder onto the SD card). It will still use the USB for configuration/covers etc providing you don't have a config.txt on the SD (see first page for info!).

Moving it also resolved an issue I had with launching automatically via Priiloader.

This maybe a USB Drive related issue! - what USB Drive do you have ?

FYI my USB only has 1 (FAT32) partition.

Thanks

I have the same problem and it took me a while to figure it out. If the Wii is not accessing the USB drive then mine will go into standby. If I then try to fire up the loader it will black screen and go back to the main menu because the USB drive hasn't spun up. If I try again it will ALWAYS work as the drive has already spun up. You can test this easily by leaving your Wii on the main screen for 15mins idle then trying to click on the loader. Once you know this is the problem it is not a big issue as you know it is not a bug.

i think 2 loaders are fine its helping the ignorant by them not having to change settings and ur saying it confuses them more im sure if they done a tiny bit of research they would understand it all and not even need 2 versions
i have fat (program) wbfs (for installs) and ntfs (read games) and just use the global settings to switch between them when i want to install or play a game its not hard to do

this idea ur suggesting would make it harder because it would want to auto choose my drives all the time
