Priiloader loads the install but my wiimotes desync themselves and will not re sync! I cant continue the install without pressing buttons on the wii remote.
Any more help would be appreciated?

Download the cIOS38Rev14 Installer Here:
Download

Then get the .dol file and load it with preloader. Switch the IOS to use at IOS36. Select 'Network Installation' and press A to install. Then try Priiloader Installer and install it.

Hope this helps.

i may be wrong but it sounds like you have installed an old preolader 0.29 which uses ios60 ( what ios does preloader say its using in the bottom left ? )and is now a stub since you are on 4.2e

i may be wrong here
but id id try and run wad manager and reinstall a stub ios60 ( download with NUS ), which should remove preloader , and your wii will load the system menu again ( ios70 ) and then you can install the latest priiloader

like i said i may be wrong so id wait for someone else to confirm

Geedub is right. This proves it: (source: wiibrew.org)
0.29 fix:

• The installer includes an IOS patcher which when found patches IOS60 so Preloader can fully work with System Menu 4.0.

4.2X runs on IOS70, and Preloader is trying to load IOS60. Install the cIOS from my post on this page, and then install Priiloader. Then you should be able to get access to the System Menu.

Hope this helps.

I had this issue a while back. I believe I was able to boot back into the system menu after going into the preloader settings and change the ios it uses to a different one. You should try that.

first step, like previous post, set preloader to force the system menu to use ios 70 if you are on 4.2, if available try ios249.

second, load the cios38rev17 installer through preloader.

third, load priiloader installer through preloader. (hold B to use ios249 to install)

fourth, if system menu still doesn't boot, go into hbc and install ios 70 and system menu 4.2 for your region. should fix everything hopefully the first step will fix this

thanks for the help and im sure all these would have helped however i fixed it by using preloader to install hackmii and i was able to install bootmii as boot2 throuhg preloader
i used a nand backup i made literally 10 minutes before the brick to save my wii. Thanks for the quick responses though and i think a user did suggest reinstalling homebrew.
