Hacking Guitar Hero 5 - Problem with Original Disc

Hi Together,

I have a very weird problem. I've bought guitar hero 5 (YES, the original retail version

)and it only boots to a black screen on my modded Wii.

My setup:
Wii with bootmii in boot2 and preloader 0.29 (for blocking disc updates)
Softmodded to work with USB Loader (all of the "known as working" games in deed work)
and a Wiikey Modchip.

I've installed missing IOSes (no stubs) with DOP-IOS Mod for playing NSMB Wii from DVD -> works fine.

Any idea why GH5 doesn't boot. Am I missing an IOS?

Are all your IOS's up to date? Not just the ones for NSMB.

I'll give a try - will use DOP-IOS Mod for updating the unstubbed ones....

Check IOS53 first, I think that's what GH5 uses.

Hi !

I've installed IOS53 -> didn't solve the problem.
I've tried Pimpmywii 1.32 -> Test leads to a dump.

Used Dop-Ios Mod 8 to download and install the following IOS
9,12,13,14,17,21,22,28,31,33,34,35,37,38,55,56,57,61 in their latest versions and with NO trucha patch.
Installed 15, 36, 70 in their latest versions WITH the trucha patch.

Now pimpmywii works and says some low-number IOS are outdated -> what shell's ?!? ;-)
it seems that my Wii was terribly outdated - now I'm up2date with my IOS Versions...AND FINALY GH5 works like a charm NOW!
