Heres my report 3 differnt Wii's 3 differnt curcumstances.

1) Using a 3.2e original gamma loader, StarFall No Disk Update allowed. Inserted the ORIGINAL game, black screen without the loader!
Tried with older installed Gamma Loader, same result.
Installed & checked with Gekos and it reported IOS55 missing, got IOS55 installed and runs OK.
Upgraded to 4.1e with ultimate online & Neogamma r6. Still Ok through both Channels. Tried backup, runs Ok Both Channels.

2) Updated a 3.2e with older gamma & starfall no disk update allowed to 4.1e with ultimate online guide & NeoGamma r6
Tried both original & backup through both channels No good black screen.
Followed instructions from Page 1 fix 1, Original runs OK Both channels, Backup OK through NeoGamma, checked With Gecko IOS55 missing! Installed IOS55 and still running OK

3) 4.0e virgin system, updated with ultimate online guide. USB Loader & Cioscorp installed. Tried Backup, from proper channel, boots and plays OK same as an original NO fixes applied. Gecko reports no problems.
Untested on USB loader at time of writing.

It might be worth while checking to see if IOS55 is installed properly if you are still having problems.
I made sure after the 1st one that IOS55 was installed while watching the upgrade. According to what was happening onscreen all IOS downloaded & installed sucsesfully.

For the past 2 days straight I have been trying to get wii sports resort to work I have been all over doing every work around i can think of and it won't go beyond a black screen and my wii starts making a noise and i have turn it off to reset.

This is my set up I don't use any USB loader at the moment as i like the discs and I don't have any Harddrives to use like this, I will pry switch but not anytime soon and I have friends who get my games, as well so i burn multiple discs. I am not a noob as I have been doing these games for awhile.

Set up

Neogamma R7 RC4 Iso 249 Rev14 -- this is from the HBC on the Sdcard
I also have Neogamma R4 Rev14 on Disc Channel
I have 4.1- after I set up 4.0 from clean source, and before that I had 3.2.
Every game i have works fine after this set up except Wii Sports Resort

The biggest difference between these two that I notice was the Anti 002 fix is missing on R7 and not my R4 not sure why just figured it was normal.

I am using the movie file .dol method as it was explained and it says it loads but I don't see any movie. I tried both Neogamma's and no results. I keep getting a black screen and it looks like it's tryng to read the disc and keeps making wierd noises.

I updated all the iso, I tend to do this, but maybe I missed some, i have been burning games for awhile so I don't think I made a bad copy otherwise i wouldn't have seen so many problems with this.

Before I start messing around will all the ISo's again I just want to know if my set up is right or if I have something wrong or if I am missing an ISO I never knew about that I somehow need to play this game.

I am just afraid if I start messing with all these Iso that I will brick or mess up the setting so I can't play any of the game I already have.

Anyhelp would be great.

i had a working wii where the WRS was ok with USBLoader gx but i decided to
reformat it and cancel all the mess during my attempts.
i've updated mi wii from 3.3e to 4.1e from the menu.
i did all the points described in
http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=144835

i installed
cIOS38 rev 14
WAD Manager 1.5
USBLoader gx (version 674)

i used the .dol extracted from WiiScrubber 1.40 and did the setting explained
(alt-dol on, fix 002 on) but it did not work but the other games where ok.

Thinking something went wrong i reformatted it and did again
http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=144835 except point 12 & 13 (not needed)

i reinstalled
cIOS38 rev 14
WAD Manager 1.5
USBLoader gx (version 674)
but now all the games where not working with USBLoader gx

i got
SD/USB Loader 1.5_cfg and the games were ok (except WSR)

with
Neogamma R7 RC4 Iso 249 Rev14
setting alternate dol (a copy of the .dol - i put also boot.dol - in SD:/neogamma) on
in config (there is no err 002!) i got the video.
after a restart (alternate dol was already off) i could play WSR again

Method 1, 2 and 3 do not seem to work for me (maybe I am missing something)

My Wii is updated to 4.1J (it is a Japanese Wii Console). I got HBC and NeoGamma installed. When I launch NeoGamme and try to run the game, I can only get to the screen with the info telling me the settings and the GameID "RZTE01.dol"

I would either get "DVD Read Error 1189" or "timeout" or a black screen which seems that the game has been launched

EDIT: My Wii is also modded with WiiKey Legacy but the problem is, after upgrading to 4.1J my WSR backup does not seem to be recognized by the Disc Channel, that is why I resorted to use NeoGamma

EDIT2: If I set the NO to both 002 Fix and .dol, the game seems to launch but stays at a black screen

Please help.

So practically what this is saying, for a person like me, whos drive oddly stopped spinning discs, that its not yet possible to get the video going without a copy on a disc?

I'm not sure, but there's a chance it might not work, unless using a USB loader works.

Hey, can you possibly upload the RZTE file somewhere? I can't get WiiScrubber to work for the life of me...

Just use the alternative .dol loading feature in usb loader gx, NeoGamma, configurable usb loader and maybe others.

No, he means if anyone can upload the file not how to use it,

when downloading wiiscrubber, put it in a folder and also the makekeybin file thingy, run that, type in the number and it makes the keys, then load WSR iso on it and do as the tut says

Woops, forgot the word "disc" in my previous post. Seriously, why are you still messing around with WiiScrubber and sd cards?

pardon my ignorance but what usb loaders have the alternative .dol option?

unsure.gif
I use W's usbfloader and do not see that option anywhere.

usbloader_gx has the option but same result - Wii reboots

Trying Neo

Trying Neo

Confirmed working (finally)..

Wii 4.0U (4.1U and 4.0U seem to have the same install procedure/success.. Also, I have wiikey 1.9s, but haven't put a disc in the drive in months
biggrin.gif
)
USB Loader GX (forgot the exact rev, but it's under r700 (6xx))
cIOS v13 (not 13b)
002 Fix = Yes

Alt Dol = Yes (SD)

Extracted player.dol to RZTE01.dol (read that in several places).. Actually I had both RZTE.dol and RZTE01.dol, and that didn't work.. I had to remove the RZTE.dol file from my SD card.

Booted fine, watched stupid video..

The kicker for me was DISABLING Ocarina.. I had it enabled (with no cheats installed)..

Rebooted.

Alt Dol = No

Tried again.. FAILED (frozen blackscreen). No clue why.
Tried again.. SUCCESS! Booted fine, played the swordfighting one, all three levels.

All things considered, it probably would have been easier to use the disc, and run it the first time that way.. :-/

Ok I have a 3.1 Wii. If I were to buy the retail disc all I would have to do is update my wii to 4.0 or 4.1 and I would be safe using it right? Or would I have to install some wads or something?

Europe Verison (E): Wii Sports Resort Guide:
1. Run NeoGamma For First Time But Do Nothing With It.
2. Put Your SD Card Into Your Computer.
3. You Should Find A New Folder Called: NeoGamma
4. Download RZTE.dol (Not RZTP.dol)
5. Place The dol File In The NeoGamma Folder In The Root Of Your SD Card. (Dont Get Confused With The apps folder neogamma folder)
6. Run NeoGamma And Configure These Options (Obviously Config Options)
Anti 002 Fix: On
Alternative Dol: SD
7. Run The Game From DVD And You've Got To Watch The Videos.
8. When You Finished Watching All Videos Press A. You Should End Up Back On The Wii Menu
9. Run NeoGamma And Turn Alternative Dol To No And Keep Others The Same.
10. Run The Game And Enjoy.

NOTES: R6 Of NeoGamma Is Required. cIOS Rev 13 Also Must Be Required.

What does the bold part exactly mean? Do we simply make a copy of RZTP.dol and rename it Boot.dol? Do we have to get Boot.dol off the Wii Sports Resort disc? If so, how do we get it off the disc?

What can I do to put wii sports resort working in firmware 4.1?

1º Metode Solution by Hadrian

1. MAke a NeoGamma Folder in the root of SD card and put the RZTP.dol file inside it. Boot.dol needs to be there too
2. Load Neogamma R6 via Homebrew Channel and have the settings like this:

002 fix: ON
Alternative dol: SD

3. Then just launch the disc or USB. You'll see a stupid video with a bint with sexy hands for about 3 minutes. Video ends and then it restarts the Wii
4. Restart Neogamma and change the settings so the it doesn't run the alternative dol.

Works for me.

I can't give you the alt dol(I think its copyrighted), but googling RZTP.dol works.

Tested and Working very well ^^

2º Solution Written by HiBit

You can use a (USB)Loader with 002 fix and alt. DOL support.

1. Start the first introduction video with the alternate DOL(rip it with a tool like wiiscrubber) and watch it. You end in the Wii menu and the game itself doesn't work.
2. Switch off the alternate DOL function and run the game again, now you can play it.
Doesn't try to view the video again from the game, it work only with the alternate DOL function, the game only without it. wink.gif

^^ Tested on a PAL Wii with 4.0e and a PAL version of WSR.

3º Solution Written by WiiPower

How to get Wii Sports Resort working(disc/sd/usb on softmods, will work for hardmodded Wiis too, but would be kind of pointless to do it this way on these):
1. Get NeoGamma:
http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=158884
2. Run NeoGamma from HBC
3. Select alternative .dol loading from disc
4. Start the game
5. Select the .dol that is NOT the main.dol
6. Watch all movies
7. The Wii will crash/reboot
8. Set NeoGamma back to no alternative .dol loading
9. Use your preferred method to play the game

If you get an error, freeze or reboot AFTER step 5, you may have the wrong cIOS and/or wrong settings. The game does not like it if you force the video mode. To solve cIOS "question", install rev13a:
http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=123307
(link is somehwere hidden inside)

PS: I do not have the game, so there might be an error in this guide

WORKS perfectly for me using method 3, and enhanced the process
smile.gif

playing WITHOUT wiimotion plus

What i have:
LU64XXXXXX (so the process should works with any other models)

installed before the process:

waninkoko 4.1 firmware updater (official nintendo 4.1 update works too)

known issues updating to 4.1:
-games saved with the homebrew savegame manager may not be re-installable to the wii
-you have to re-install preloader

everything else was ok after updating to 4.1 using waninkoko installer.

used Iospatcher in order to be able to install preloader (needed only with LU64/LU65 Wii's)

installed preloader 0.29 (don't rename the SDROOT\APPS\PRELOADER folder to get it to works lolll

installed hacks.ini file to SDROOT (took me some time to realise that SDHC doesn't works for the first read of the .ini by preloader)

already had the CIOS38rev14 installed

WHAT I DID:

game burned as any other one, standard dvd, standard method used NTSC .ISO game image

used DATEL Wii powersave tool to download and convert\decrypt the codejunkies savegame for the NTSC version.
new savegame was renamed as asked by the tool and copied as they mentionned to do, same path the tool told me.

back to the wii system menu, i copied the new savegame to the Wii memory like any other savegame stored on a SD card.

this allow me to start the game without detection of the motionplus hardware.

started the game with neogamma R6 autoboot channel , 002fix = NO (not needed anymore with mods listed earlier)
ALT DOL = DISK
hit --->start game from DVD
when prompted , the game gives me choice between PLAYER.dol or MAIN.dol
chose PLAYER.dol
listen the annoying holywood-creation-like tutorial movie.
the Wii reboots.....
back to the neogamma channel options, remove alt dol (you can let it "as is" but will be annoying choosing MAIN.dol on every game you will play
tongue.gif
)

now the game is running as any other ones, and with the new savegame, no motionplus hardware needed anymore to play.

NOW, i will open a copy of the ISO file with wiiscrubber, i will shrink the image, i will extract the PLAYER.dol to hard disk, i will rename the PLAYER.DOL to MAIN.DOL, i will replace in wiiscrubber the original main.dol by the new MAIN.dol i just renamed
and i will create a new 800mb ISO bootable file. so if something happens, or if i want to play the game in another wii,
i'll only have to use the new "installation" disk to auto-start the video, then when the wii will reboot i'll eject the first disk and
put the real game disk on and voila! (not tested yet but some kind of disk will works , that way or a bit around that...

smile.gif
thanx to all who worked\still-works on softs, CIOS, forums, walkthrough, tuto's and anything useful to anyone to make
all this possible
