Pretty much this. He flat out said this was all a marketing stunt. And it's a pretty unique way of doing things; I'd like other developers to try having such active marketing campaigns.

On the other hand, I'm bored with Bob's act, and his game doesn't look like something I'd want to play; his game looks more like Seinfeld DS, without the comedy. Or like Pokemon Ranger, except all you do is walk.

Yes, as I've said countless times, I played Doukutsu before it was even translated. You're about the 500th person to say this same thing, and you sound stupid.

Pixel tried to get Doukutsu published just as frantically as I did, and he eventually deleted his page and gave up. I don't intend to give up like he did.

As far as the port, Nintendo didn't ask him anything. An existing licensed third party developer bought the property and is remaking it. Pixel is barely involved and will make little.My game is at least three times the size of Doukutsu, and platformers are much easier to make than RPG.

Look in the credits, even modern day 2D RPG like Children of Mana took over 100 people to make, and Square has millions in funding and existing code/graphics.

Platformers take teams of 5-10 people at the most.
I worked full time on my game 10+ hours a day, he worked part time on his.

You are making huge, uninformed assumptions. Where did you hear this BS? Why are you spreading these lies?
oh and this seems important:
The bottom screen is a huge part of the game, that's where all the action is.
