Just started the game. So far so great! I must say, you've done an absolutely stunning job. But you don't need me to tell you that, you've got 91 other pages that says it already! Bravo, you get not one, but two cookies! Thanks [:

The translation is indeed done very well, I hear this too from many others who play the game. So you've got my respect, DarthNemesis.

Once I finished the game, I'd like to take a more profound look at the glossary (more than I've done so far), because I'm willing to help to translate it for the full 100%. As a student of Japanese Languages and Culture, I think it's a nice excercise ánd a way to show my gratitude towards you and your translation. Right now, I'm halfway Act 4, so it might take a little while.

hey that SomaTrans app... Can that be coded to use for other roms? It looks pretty easy.
yes it can, but it requires quite some effort from darthnemesis to alter it for use with other games.
he actually did it before for some games.

I think I found another typo:

In Act 6 at the beginning when they are back at the Schildkröte to wait for Idea. When Idea returns Jadis talks to Viola and he says "Then what should be do?".

It's probably:
"Then what should we do?"
or
"Then what should be done?"

Also, there is a typo in Act 6, Last Quest.

Viola mentioned something about a lake called Dominas' lake, and there's a line where the word "as"(no, not as in Dominas) was combined with the next letter (sorry, can't provide the actual text, I've saved after accepting it, mind you and it's Act 6). It was something like "it was called asDominas' lake..." or some such

Edit: oh, and Darth Nemesis, since my request for nice work emoticon has been approved, I can use it to say this appropriately to you now:

Nice work, man!

Hm, I remember something similar, but it was a missing space after a comma. Also somewhere in Act 6

. I was too busy finishing the game to write down where exactly it was.

I have to agree with Raestloz on the "nice work" part. I finished the game yesterday and it's really great that there's such a good translation that lets us fully enjoy this game. I specifically enjoyed all the german names. I laughed when I read the name of the other ship "Häschen", which is the diminutive of bunny.

well its hard to see such small typos , a human eye dosent read a full text , its analazing it by looking at the begining and end of a word , so i bet that 90% of ppl playing this game didnt even see this .

That's why we lowly leechers do the typo spotting job
wink.gif
since we can't do high-class job like translating and image editing (well, I can edit images to some extent, but never actually/will be involved) and repackaging.

such as this

Well, Darth Nemesis, will you translate the library in near future?

It's unnecessary, but once it's done, you can say Soma Bringer: COMPLETE

because, even though it's not necessary, the 90% thingamajig sometimes tickles me....

New to the forum. Registered to see if I can get help with my problem. I downloaded an unpatched, untrimmed, rom and dropped it onto the patching file(drop rom here.bat) waited for it to patch, closed out the patcher, and put the game onto a 2GB SD Card into my R4. The game just lags and loads up either a black or white screen for an indeterminable amount of time. I tried the original rom and it works fine, it's just the patched rom that won't load. Did I patch it wrong? Should I have hit a key to continue instead of just closing the patcher? Does it make any difference that I took the patched rom and dropped it onto my Mac's desktop(I did the patching on a PC)? Please help, I really, REALLY, want to play this game in english.
