Go with a 360.
I was stuck in the sameeeeeee position as you a year back.
I wanted to strangle myself in case I made the wrong decision.
I went with Wii.
Bad choice. Childish games if you know what I mean.
Go with a 360. Then save up your Christmas money from other relatives to buy a Wii later.

you should take a 360.
If you don't put in the position of a tower it wont scratch your disc. Normally, the new 360 don't make the rrod.
The 360 have more good games then the other console

Im getting a 360 (hopefully). My parents wnet x-mas shopping yesterday and i heard from my sister that i got 360. Whats a rrod by anychance?
P.S. $50 really isnt much for online services. ecspecially if your paying for a year.

A pc costs more than a 360, and in some cases when you want as good quality of a shooter as a 360 has, it will cost a lot more.
RROD is red ring of death, a kinda lame coined term by people who get the 3 LEDs flashing on their console when it stops working. According to the large stack of xbox360's my cousin has, it looks like it is still very common.
I own 2 360's and both still work fine but I don't figure they will last forever. The first one I owned did the red ring sometimes but eventually I just got rid of it because it was annoying to power it on 3 times to get it to boot up. It never froze in games though.
If you want reliability, get a ps3..if you want a fun party game machine (eg more than 1 person at a time will usually be using it) get a wii, if you want the most popular system out get a 360.

Anybody here have a Xbox series S and a series X, is the performance difference noticeable? Not worried about 4k. I have a series X but not a series S and was curious. (Reason- I was thinking of buying a series S for a second tv, for when grandkids come over, to keep them off my X) -
