Wow, this list of hacks and translations is so complete. x_x
Awesome job on the Index, and thanks so much for doing this, you rule. : D

EDIT: And yeah, this one should be stickied in place of the other one, it's much more detailed and contains more content.

Thank you so much you guys! It feels really good to be able to help out the community.

I did not contact a mod; however, I made a thread in the site discussion forums or something like that... I told them to sticky this one and get rid of the old one. If it doesn't happen int he next few days, then I guess I can contact a mod. I don't wanna bug them too much though. (I knowthey're really busy)

I had a thought... you guys let me know if it sounds good. I was thinking of putting a new format
It will be the name of the game, the picture, and everything beneath it will be in spoiler tags. That way, you don't have to cycle through every single translation and sstuff to get to the one you want. I also want to add a little wikipedia description of the game for the people that don't know about 'em. (For example, the Hercules no Eikou game... I had never even ehard about that game, lol) I was also hoping to put up like 3 screenshots for each game to show off some translated stuff or something. Does that sound good?

If I do decide to do that, I can do the Wiki stuff by myself...however, I would really need some help with the screenshots :\ I'd have to go through a lot of games. I'll post this in the first post so maybe I can get some people to help me out.

Wow, that's a pretty big list. Can I suggest an alphabetical order? Looks messy right now.

I was going to suggest the same thing.

Also, a game list (think "table of contents") would be very useful. It's somewhat tiresome to scroll through such a long list of games just to see if the game you are looking for is in there.

I second Alphabetizing the list. Of course it'd be alphabetized in their own categories like Active--->alphabetized, concluded--->alphabetized, and hacks--->alphabetized.

The description idea sounds great as I always like to know what kind of game I might be playing. Saves us time of searching for it ourselves.

I've pinned this, I think it'd be good for you to link to Rod's original thread (http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=91851) in your first post

Great suggestions guys. I'll start alphabetizing ASAP. I will also make a table of contents and link to Rod's original thread.

About the screenshots for each game, can someone help me out with them? Videos would be cool too.

New format has been added. Also, I have a real treat for you guys...

Noitora's patch for XENOSAGA I&II DS WILL BE ADDED MOMENTARILY. This will be the first time the patch has been released in Gbatemp.

EDIT: Two rare Noitora patches have been added. (Xenosaga and SRW)

There is a little problem with the new format... A bunch of these translation projects (around 6-7 of them) are unreleased, and some of them aren't even started yet! It's a pain to flip all the spoiler boxes open just to see which mods have a working patch.

You can circumvent this problem by creating a separate category for unreleased translation projects.

A more practical sorting method...
Active Projects (Unreleased)
Active Projects (Released)
Concluded Projects
Rom Hacks

P.S. This has been bugging me a little... Extremely polished and near-complete translation projects like the Soma Bringer, Puyo Pop and Jump! Ultimate Stars project are lumped in the same category as simple menu translations. I appreciate everyone's translation work, but I feel that the outstanding translation projects should be highlighted in some way. If they aren't, people may skim over them thinking that they are simple menu hacks like most of the other patches. (Especially since all the translation information is now hidden in spoiler tags.) My suggestion? If the project translates enough of the game to let you play through without missing anything significant (*cough*likethestory*cough*), their names should be written in a different color (green, perhaps?). It's a subtle touch, but it provides extremely useful information.

EDIT: To clear this up... I am extremely grateful to everyone who has contributed to any translation project here. I simply believe that complete or practically complete translations should be highlighted, because they are in a category of their own. ("Complete". Not "better", but "complete"...)

Hmm... I will definitely take that into consideration. I don't agree that I "lumped" them all together, because each translation is a work of art, and the authors spent a lot of time and effort into them, be it a full translation or a simple menu patch. However, I may just write the name in a different color or something. I dunno.

EDIT: Okay, everything is alphabetical, and I did a lot more updates. (Check the update log)

I think all I'm missing is the Table of Contents...

Lump - To put together in a single group without discrimination.
I wasn't trying to use the term in a derogatory sense (though my wording may have implied otherwise...). I literally meant that you did not distinguish between the translation projects beyond their activity status. =P

On a side-note, I was using the word "perfect" more in the sense of "complete", not "flawless". This may have partly caused the misunderstanding. Sorry! I'll edit my previous post to clear this all up. x,x

Well, I've split them into active-released and active-unreleased. I don't want to be biased and put "Soma Bringer" in another color just because it's almost complete, or a full translation, or whatever your opinion on it may be. I think it's good as it is... and if you don't think so, then send me a PM and we can discuss it further. I think splitting them into released and unreleased was a great idea; however, I don't want to show favoritism.

It's not really favoritism. Objectively, the Soma Bringer, Puyo Pop, and Jump! Ultimate Stars patches stand out from the crowd because they translate over 90% of the game (J-Quiz aside). I just thought that people who don't use menu hacks would appreciate being able to know this at a glance. If you don't like the idea, don't bother implementing it. It's just another one of my crazy thoughts. xP

Screenshots: Most of the project topics have screenshots in them, no? Can't you just use those?

EDIT: Oh, jeez. I pressed "send" instead of "preview" when I was trying to reformat the Table of Contents in a PM, War. There is an extra space in there somewhere. I recommend taking it out, just because... xD

Yes, SOME translations have screenshots. However, from what I've seen, most do not. So for those that don't, I was going to take some myself.

Here's a quick question - does anyone know what button combination you have to type in to get a blank letter? Because I tried organizing the Table of Contents with spaces, but GBAtemp just pushes them all back all the way to the left. I used to know a combination that was something like Alt + 616 and it would create a blank space, but the forum would think it was a letter, and wouldn't push the text after it back.

Sorry if my description is a little wonky D:

EDIT: Thank you Mac for helping me out with the Table of Contents!
I went through 35 pages of the ROM hacking forums and found old scattered translations and hacks here and there....I will be adding those shortly!

It's Alt+0160.
