I cant run bejeweled twist on twilight menu.
I searched online and found out its a game thats dsi enhanced.
the error does say that the dsi save was corrupted.
I moved the game from the /roms/nds/ to /roms/dsiware/ and now it runs.
I am wondering if there is any way to run the game in /roms/nds/ without the so called dsi enhancements as its just a multiplayer feature.

This might actually be due to a bug in TWLM. I had a similar problem with Pokémon Platinum, and it's not a DSi Enhanced title. Instead of moving the ROM, try renaming it. TWLM keeps per-game configurations that seem to get fubar'd by something, and renaming a ROM causes it to create a new config for the title.

Also, to answer your question, you'd need a flashcart to run the game without the DSi features. TWLM can't use these when a flashcart kernel is used in lieu of nds-bootstrap.

Switching the "Run in" setting to "DS mode" also works, if you don't have a flashcard.

Do you mean that the DSi binaries are missing?

after ndsbootstrap logo but before actual game logos, I get this error "Save data was corrupt. Press A, or touch the Touch Screen, to erase corrupted save data."
game runs fine when I move it to /roms/dsiware/ but I want to play it in /roms/nds/
if I change "run in" option to ds mode, does that mean /roms/dsiware/ (and other folders) become obsolete?

where is the "run in" setting located?

There are 2 different versions of this game: a DSiWare version, that only includes classic mode, 1 music track, and multiplayer, and the full cartridge game. Which version are you running? I assume the latter.

Select your Bejeweled Twist rom in Twilight Menu and press 'Y'. You can choose to run it in DS mode there.

Sounds like nds-bootstrap made a wrong-sized save file? Or the save file really is corrupted. Try deleting (or renaming) the save file in /roms/nds/saves and launch the game. Nds-bootstrap will make a new save. Should be the right size. If that doesn't work, check your game rom. Could be corrupted.

I've been playing this game through Twilight Menu + nds-bootstrap, both on console SD and a flashcart, for at least 5 years.

the rom works fine on /roms/dsiware/
I tried the run in ds mode after deleting the save (in both /roms/nds/save and /roms/dsiware/save), now I get a red screen with some data error message and lots of register data info in columns

@RocketRobz, playing Bejeweled Twist on console SD no longer works. I also get a red screen after a new save file is created. Something broke. I'm using 27.11.1 on an N3DS.

It has been a while since I last played DS games from console SD. I don't know if it only broke recently, or if it's been broken for a while.

I'll check flashcart next...

Edit: Funny, it works on flashcart. Didn't try with a new save; only with my existing one.

Checking the new save versus my existing one, nds-bootstrap is making the save file the wrong size. The new save created 8 KB. It should be 512 KB.

Bejeweled Twist is broken in Twilight Menu when it's being ran from console SD, for some reason. That sucks.

I tried replacing the new save with my existing one. I still get the red data abort screen, so there is some other issue on top of the newly created save file being the wrong size. Idk what. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Until it's fixed, you could downgrade Twilight Menu and nds-bootstrap, ig. Or wait for a new release that fixes the issue.

Edit to add: Or run off flasgcart, or stick with the workaround you found.

Works fine on my side on both DSi and 3DS, but only in DSi mode. Tested with DSi-Enhanced USA version.
Also, TWLMenu++ uses the save size database from melonDS, so I don't see why the created save size is wrong.
all other games work and this game if placed in /roms/dsiware and ran with no saves presents (ie making a fresh save) works fine
This makes no sense for the game to work in one folder, but not in another.

@signer-ink-beast and @catoutthehatlmao, if the game doesn't work (properly) in DSi mode either, and/or to fix the ROM only working in the dsiware folder, please try re-installing TWiLight Menu++.
EDIT: Next nds-bootstrap version will fix the game not working in DS mode on 3DS consoles (was already working fine on DSi consoles).
The issue was the ROM map for pre-loadable ROMs wasn't being made properly for DSi-Enhanced ROMs running in DS mode.

Ah, okay. If that size works, it works.

Gotcha. So the game has to run in DSi-mode. I had my settings set to run the game in DS mode on the console SD.
