Is it Normal for the Circle Pad To Hang Loose If You Hold the Console Face-Down?

I just got a New Nintendo 2DS XL not even three days ago, but already I started to notice issues with the circle pad. It feels looser today than I remember it feeling on days one and two, and when I hold the console above my head, screens facing down, the stick comes out just the slightest bit (no more than a few millimeters), just enough to be distracting when I push it in to use the controls. The stick can also rotate just a couple millimeters as well. Is this normal, or is my brand-spanking new Nintendo 2DS XL already falling apart after less than three sustained days of use?

It's on its last breath.
You're not joking are you? It's a brand new console I've owned for three days. Is that really a sign it's on its last breath?

I think what might be happening is that I had two 3DSs fall apart from normal use, so when I noticed that the circle pad comes out just a small amount it made me reasonably paranoid about the quality of my 2DS. But I checked two of my friend's 3DS's and neither console did this, so I still think it's an issue with the circle pad. I'd like confirmation as to whether this is an issue I should be worried about.

Have you been able to find out what's causing this? I'm having the same issues with my 2ds xl and would like to know whether or not I should try to fix or replace my console

when they were last seen days after last posting in this thread. its likely a idea that they arent going to be back to answer anything. You could make a new thread and try to describe and post photos of whats going on so others can better see if somethings amiss.
