I got some help with my switch, but I still have a question:
So the oled switch is dual boot; on the official boot, I transfered my save files from my other mariko, not chipped console to this oled chipped console. On the hacked boot I wouldn't have been able to even link my account because of the nintendo account. I want to backup my save files to my pc.
Is the partition absolutely hermetic, preventing jksv (edit: or any other program that can allow to access save files) to even access those data? edit: and if it is hermetic, is there any other way to transfer save files from the nintendo linked account of my not chipped mariko to my chipped oled's hacked boot?

I'm running into an issue using NSP-FORWARDER where all the titles it installs blank out with the loading circle infinitely and wont boot. Can anyone help me?

Hi, will installed game in emuNAND in the SD Card appear in the sysNAND system? Do I have to be careful not to click this game when I am in sysNAND?

has anyone tried to mod a v1 switch with a serial somewhere close to xaw10089?
ive seen that my switch is possibly patched so i wanna know if anyone else has had any luck sending a payload before i get a jig or anything :)

I got it from best buy on black friday in 2019 i think. It was in a bundle with mario kart if that helps

EmuNAND and sysNAND are really two different systems. So it's like you have two consoles in one. Games installed in one should not appear in the other.

I'm afraid you'll have to bite the bullet and get a jig. That's the only way to find out if your Switch is vulnerable to the Fusée Gelée exploit. Jigs are cheap, from what I hear. Heck, I would give you one if I could, I got several unused jigs here. It would be even better if you could borrow one from a local friend.

I lost my switch and have replaced it with another one that can run CFW (emuNAND) and wanted to understand what type of restoration options I have. I copied the contents of my SDcard which had all the typical atmosphere/bootloader/config/firmware/nintendo/switch folders before I lost it. I also have a backup that contained BOOT0/BOOT1 and rawand.bin.00 through rawand.bin.14 files.

I'm assuming the games themselves were on a separate partition and the rawnand.bin.xx files do not contain the games themselves. Would like confirmation on this.

I'd like to know how to extract the save game data if that is possible. I downloaded NxNandManager and it only let me open up the rawnand.bin.00 file and I was only able to grab the saves from that file. It says "input file/drive is not a valid NX storage" whenever I try to open any of the other rawnandbin.xx files

Depends on what you're trying to do. I'm not sure if you can restore one's Switch's backup to another one's, even if it's just emuNAND.
In any case, here's the options that you have: https://rentry.org/EmuNANDNewSDcard (I'll assume that it's like moving from one SD card to another, but again, I'm not sure if this can be done between different Switches. I'd suggest that you extract saves from the old Switch, provided you have emuNAND backup or you've already backed them up with JKSV, Checkpoint or similar.)

Did you make the NAND backup mentioned above of your emuNAND, before you lost your Switch? If so, it might have games on it if you've specifically installed games to the emulated internal storage. Otherwise, you've actually installed them to the external SD card storage, meaning that they should be somewhere in the Nintendo folder.

Again, I'm not sure if just moving games from one Switch to another via SD card will work as I've never done it myself and can't confirm it.

I would have thought it's all on the SD card anyways so it shouldn't make a difference.

I have 14 rawnand.bin.xx files, I don't know how to access 01-13, do they need to be recompiled somehow? NxNandManager cannot open 01-13.

Yes I made the backup and have BOOT0, BOOT1, and rawnand.bin.01 to rawnand.bin.14 files. Are the games stored in there somehow?

You can find the guide here.

The guide targets a single rawnand.bin file, I have 14 and can't access 1-13. Leading back to wondering if I need to combine them somehow as NxNandManager will not open 1-13.

Quick question... I have a v1 Switch that has a fully functional emunand. I recently bricked my OLED model and want to play games online using the v1. What is the safest way to update the stock firmware without affecting the emunand?
I basically want to play the Switch with my legit cartridges online without affecting my CFW side at all.
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I browsed Themezer and I just wanted to apply a layout, not a whole theme. Is this possible? WHen I download I got a .json file and I put it in the /theme folder but nothing happened, my layout's still the same. This is what I want to use:
You need to open NXThemes from your homebrew menu and apply it in the themes section. About installing only one part of the theme, it is possible, when you download a theme, it will be divided into different sections and you only decide which ones to install. In this case, since it is a simple theme, its only one file.

I don't have my backup on my PC right now, but I believe that those parts are just renamed archives? Someone mentioned that you can combine them by doing this.

Are the games stored in there somehow?
If you've stored them to the internal storage, they should be there in one of the hidden partitions, I can't remember which one. Saves are saved in USER partition, I believe.
By internal storage I mean the real Switch internal storage, in case you've made a sysNAND backup and emulated internal storage, in case you've made an emuNAND backup.

The official way? Note that going online is only safe if you have a clean sysNAND.
Also note that after you connect your v1's sysNAND / stock to the Nintendo servers it'll sent any telemetry it has on it, meaning that any previously made backups shouldn't be restored because they'll be missing some telemetry info and should be used only in case there's no other way to fix the brick.

Thanks - the sysnand is clean at this point. For clarification, when I boot into atmosphere, it gives me three choices - emunand, sysnand and stock. What is the difference between sysnand and stock? And what is the difference between not booting into atmosphere (just using the Switch as normal) and booting into either one of the "clean" options?

sysNAND option will launch CFW as well, while stock is the semi-stock option where kernel patching and CFW kips are disabled, while exosphere (and warmboot where applicable) are loaded. You can find out more about it here in hekate_ipl_template.

While I'm not entirely sure what's the end users' differences between Hekate's stock boot and the normal boot, one of the things I know is that it allows consoles to boot into as-close-as-possible stock firmware where AutoRCM is used i.e. when they have modchips installed.

Got it - that makes sense.
So my best option is probably just to turn the switch on as normal and avoid the sysnand altogether. I can update the stock Switch and log in to my online account and play games online as normal.
Is there any risk to the emunand doing this?
