  • It run discs backups, so it is modded at some point;
  • If i press eject, it turns on a blue screen;
  • I tried copying aurora to internal, but it doens't have space (4gb but its not usable?)
  • Then i tried booting from my USB and got an infinite black screen for aurora...
I don't know how to check if i have RGH...

So it works or not? Confused here

That's XellLaunch.. turn on the 360 with the power button or controller next time.
  • I tried copying aurora to internal, but it doens't have space (4gb but its not usable?)
Use an external usb (temporarily), or get an hdd/ssd to use internally on the console.
  • Then i tried booting from my USB and got an infinite black screen for aurora...
Make sure you have Aurora folder/files in the right place.
I don't know how to check if i have RGH...
Dashlaunch, it'd show what type of Glitch you have.

It works with discs, yes, tested with Dashlaunch and I have Glitch2 (everything else was written Corona).
My files are in the right folder , and I have a launch.ini in the root of my pendrive written like this:

[QuickLaunchButtons]
Default = usb0:\Aurora\Aurora.xex

[Settings]
nxemini = true
pingpatch = true
contpatch = true
fatalreboot = true
regionspoof = true
dvdexitdash = true
xblaexitdash = true
noupdater = false
exchandler = false
debugout = false
livestrong = false

Well, if Dashlaunch works, can I run games from there ?
Im almost giving up on aurora, it simply doesn't work... If i set everything and run from XexMenu, i get a black screen infinitely, if I try to run from USB pendrive directly, it just boots normally to the xbox 360.
I tried using "usb" and "usb0" and nothing works...

Look up a video on youtube by "a wise moose" called how to set up your rgh xbox 360. Hopefully this will help get you up and running.

Sounds like your main issue is that you need to buy an HDD. Trying to live off of just a USB is a bad time

If Aurora is not even booting from USB, I am not sure i want to invest in a HDD right now...
The moment I am able to at least boot it, i will be inclined of buying an HDD, yes.

More info:

Board: Corona
Flash: Corona
Type: Glitch2
Kernel: 2.0.17502.0

Im thinking if I can update the system directly from MS... I have no intention of using it online at all. I just want to play some old games and that's it

Well your console is modded. You wouldn't be able to view dashlaunch and view this information otherwise.

Those are Dashlaunch' settings (not Aurora's). What happens when you launch Aurora? You get a black screen every time? (nvm, i read your reply below)
Btw, you can make Dashlaunch auto boot to Aurora when powering on the console, but if it's not working right now for some reason best leave it aside for now until you get it to work.

Copy Xexmenu to your usb, and launch it from Xbox' dash games section. Using another Dash like FSD2 or 3 is also an option. You can launch either from Xexmenu or by making one of them auto boot in Dashlaunch. It's in "path" / "default" iirc.
Im almost giving up on aurora, it simply doesn't work... If i set everything and run from XexMenu, i get a black screen infinitely, if I try to run from USB pendrive directly, it just boots normally to the xbox 360.
This simply doesn't make sense why this is happening for you. Make sure the usb is formatted as Fat32 32kb cluster size, only 1 partition if possible, not saying that's def the cause of this but could be.
Anyway, either re-DL the latest Aurora copy it to the usb and test again, or try with other dashes (mentioned earlier).
I tried using "usb" and "usb0" and nothing works...
If you're editing the "launch.ini" file, don't, that's for Dashlaunch and not Aurora.

Unless you want to brick your console? Updating directly will 100% result in a brick. Xbox Live might be blocked in Dashlaunch to prevent that from happening or it might not be. Regardless it's unrelated to your issue.
Though you could update the fw if you're not on the latest (17559), but there's a process you must follow if you're so inclined. Also another incentive of updating is that XBLIG won't play without the Avatar update (if it's not installed). One way to know if you have it is the avatars will look gray if you don't.

Yes update first. But before all that I’d still get a hard drive so you don’t have to move and redo things twice

The updates will be stored in the USB? Because what I would like to do before inevsting in a HDD is updating, seeing if aurora boots, if yes then i will gladly buy an HDD. Because if not, something else is the issue...

About the aurora thing, I think it must be something related to the current version that i am, im out of options... Not even kinect works with that version, it asks to update to a newer version

The issue lies in your usb auorua doesn’t particularly like it in all cases

if something else where wrong you wouldn’t even be able to boot xex menu or dash launch or even xell

Updated the system and tried again, aurora is now booting from USB. I tested one game and it worked...
But the DVD disc doesn't read the backup games anymore...
