Troubleshooting a non-functioning Digitizer

So I have a new, functioning digitizer/LCD in my lite. I bought the switch as a “damaged unit”, and it had a cracked screen and casing. I think it was thrown or sat on. Anyhoo.. I’ve had to replace an İÇ, a few caps, and an inductor coil (red circle in pic) and it’s finally up and running. But the touch screen doesn’t respond to anything. I threw in a functioning motherboard and it worked as it’s supposed to. I’d love some pointers as to how I’d go about troubleshooting.. thanks!

Bottom left corner of the board is where jkyoho spotted whatever that is. Definitely doesn't look normal, whatever is there. Could just be the pic though

Oh.. thanks for clarifying @Illuminaticy. I thought that area had to do with audio processing. Here are better pic. The original pic was just to show what components were replaced.
