Hello guys :)

I have a DS, 3DS and Switch, but I think about buy a WiiU.

All because the game Yoshi Woolly World. I have the game on 3DS, but................

You have to know I'm not a huge fan of great graphics in video games, but I must admit that the pretty wool details in Yoshi Wooly World impress me.
I really enjoy watch Yoshi Woolly YT gameplay from Wiiu. I see a very beautiful wool design. I want to experience all these details of the wool theme.

I've completed a few levels in the 3DS version and I felt like I miss out on the main advantage of the game.
Don't get me wrong. It's not about the quality of the graphics, but about the lack of a woolen atmosphere.

Tell me if I'm wrong. And is there really such a huge difference?
And is it worth buying a console for 1 game?
Or maybe you can recommend other wii u exclusive games

I'm unsure about the differences of the two versions but I 'wood' :D say the overall experience and aesthetics on Wii U will be much more immersive than 3ds.

Wether it's worth buying for 1 game is a good question as most of the Wii U titles have been ported to Switch anyway. Maybe someone can put me right but I can't think of any real title that hasn't been. (has this not??)

Modding the Wii U would also allow you to mod the vWii and there's another console at your fingertips right there aswell the plethora of homebrew that is available.

If you are strictly in it for that game tho, is Cemu emulator an option for you?

Thank you for the answer. I found also game on WiiU Kirby and the Rainbow course.

Emulator hmmm I use Ryzen 5500u, Vega7 integred graphs and 16gb ram. I am not sure it will be enough to smooth gameplay with good graphics.

There are more than one game that didn't make the transition to the Switch, obviously. This list is probably not up to date, but it gives a general idea. Personally, I wouldn't have minded getting the Tekken game. There were some great Nintendo inspired elements in there. But oh well... :( If you can find a Wii U cheap enough, I'd say go for it. The Wii U can play Wii and Gamecube games too, so it's pretty versatile.

The Last Of Us - I have the PS4 version and I don't want to buy a newer one because of better graphics.

I have Yoshi Woolly on 3DS and from a logical point of view it doesn't make sense to buy the same game (only with nicer graphics) and an additional console. You know just like the new version of The Last Og Us.

But Yoshi Woolly with flat graphic on 3DS is like kissing through glass.

But buying another console just for one game is nonsense.

Look 0:10 huge difference

I bought mine just because of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate and Xenoblade X. There's a few more Wii U games worth playing, and you can also play Wii and Gamecube games on modern TVs through HDMI without the need of an HDMI modded Wii, which ends up being more expensive than getting a Wii U. So even if you end up not liking Yoshi's Woolly World that much I'd say it's still a console worth getting.

If you find one for a good price, do it, my man. I love the Wii U. It is still hooked up to the living room, although I use it just every now and then. But the Wii U was my favorite console ever, before the Switch came out.

The stuff it lets you do (modded) is just insane. I played the heck out of it and my son too. It has it's very special "feeling" or "charm", whatever you want to call it.

So, if you find one with a reasonable price, do it. You'll not regret it. It is an awesome console.

I'm considering selling my Wii U because I've no use for it. I figured years ago I could keep it around for Wii stuff but then I discovered it actually harms the image output vs a native Wii so you're better off with a regular Wii after all as well...

Then just use a RetroTink or something if you want to upscale the picture.

If I'm not mistaken USB Loader GX fixes the image issues.

If price is no concern then sure, but to use the RetroTink you also need a component cable, and it ends up being more expensive than just getting a Wii U.

DO IT!!!!. I bought a PS2 for a game that is not even good. I got lucky the exact game came in the ps2, the game is ESPN Xtreme skateboarding, the first game I played for ps2 when I was a kid. The ps2 I bought was a fat one, it came with a guanine network adapter. All that for $30.

I haven't heard about it fixing the wrong screen alignment on 480p. Or the chroma shifting.

I picked up a WiiU to play Splatoon 1 and experience the lower input lag on real hardware compared to the Switch games. I got a decent deal on the system with a bunch of accessories and games, and it doubles as a real hardware Wii, although I am waiting for my Dolphinbar to arrive so I can play Wii games in higher resolutions on my beefy PC.

I think the question of whether it's worth it is dependent on how much you have to spend on it and whether that's a reasonable amount of money for you.
