Hacking Project SMTV:Vengeance Save Editor

the miracle range is documented in Pj1980's excel spreadsheet (https://gbatemp.net/threads/smtv-vengeance-save-editor.657461/#post-10445209), it's just 07 for an activated miracle and 02 for a buyable miracle as PJ has written. on new game plus, though to activate the route exclusive miracles I had to set it to 07 as with 02 (buyable) they don't show up on my character. it can also be compared with this save file which is a mega done save file https://bai-gaming.com/shin-megami-tensei-v-vengeance-completed-save-file/

for example I added the route specific miracles by pic related (the modified values are the red numbers) though I bet two of those 07s aren't actually needed as I just mass guessed some numbers.

Using save editor (Added Player resist and potentials release), whenever I display a demon slot and save (without changing any data), it changes the demon in that slot to a different demon (seems to be changing to the next demon on the list).
This did not happen in the previous release.

But I wish there was a function to edit the player lvl and money bc editing the stats before reaching lvl 99 just screws up the save and you can't move past the lvl up screen bc it always wants you to put points in the stats when leveling up before it will let you leave that screen.

First off to use the save editor with a ps4 save you need a jailbroken ps4 at least with my method you do bc it requires using apllo save tool and PS4 Xplorer 1.35 which is lapy20001 homebrew apps. Or instead of PS4 Xplorer just turn on the ftp server in your goldhen settings. And filezilla. Just an fyi the only version of smt v vengeance backported is the CUSA42502 Chinese version with an English mod which you will also need.

Now with that out of the way.
1. I went to Apollo app and opened the save in that then I did an export of decrypted save.
2. After that I went to PS4 Xplorer to turn on the ftp server but that part can be skipped by just using the ftp server in your goldhen settings.
3. After that I went to my filezilla and had it connect to my ps4 via ftp and went to where Apollo put the exported save data which is \data\Apollo\(default user id which is a mixture of numbers and letters)\CUSA42502_GameSave01 then transferred that file that's in there to my pc
4. After that I ran the decryptor/encryptor that everyone is talking about on zmbkilla's thread to decrypt the save
5. Then I opened it in zmbkilla's save editor and edited it to my liking
Then I basically did the reverse of steps 1-4 but in Apollo I resigned the save after doing the reverse of steps 1-4

And valla your save is modified and you just have to load it in the game.

exe is windows' go to extension for installing and running programs. If you don't like exe files don't run windows os

Also in aogami whenever I set specific skills for anything and I go to load the save I modified with those specific skills I see those changes don't stick and those changes aren't there.

Hmm. I have not touched skills yet so not surprised. Still figuring out demons.

@moviefilm1234 The issue is the demon are changing to the next demon in the dropdown list correct (demon slot 1 from Satan-> Lucifer)?

EDIT: Can't seem to replicate the bug.

Is your save file already decrypted? If it is proceed to step 3. If not do step 1. zmbkilla explains how to decrypt and encrypt your saves on their save utilities page. These steps are for a switch save that you've already transferred to your pc from your switch. Zmbkilla's aogami automatically opens saves from ryujinx upon opening it.

1. Decrypt save with zmbkilla's save utilities: https://github.com/zmbkilla/smtv.saveutil
2. Open aogami
3. Click on open file with a "dec" as the extension and when it asks you if you're save is decrypted click yes.
4. Mod your save
5. Encrypt your save with zmbkilla's save utilities that I linked to above

Vala your save is modified and all you have to do is load your save in the game

if there is a sln file, you probably downloaded the source code and not the save editor. Downloads are located in the release tab on the right side of the page

Thank you for the help. I managed to lower my stats which Ive been dying to do. It removed Luminescent mirage from nahobino which is fine since I can just add it back on with essences and I was unable to find mortal transcendence which I wanted to turn off but thats also fine. Again thank you

I see. I misunderstood. I assumed you were talking about Aogami. I can check on that. I only finished revamping player data so Demon data might be affected. Will work on that soon

Found the issue. the old method required adding 1 to the demon slot value. Fixed it on my end. Will upload a release which will include this fix.

So Im running into an issue where when my character levels up he just gains a crap ton of stats. No clue whats causing it and its only happening on the save file I modified which was to lower his stats and level. Any clue whats going on?

Hmmm. Do you remember the stats he had? Specifically the base, item, and combined stats?

His base stats are 81, 84, 82, 83, 82 and I have 192 points to spec. On one of the broken saves he has 400, 228, 168, 234, 178 when hes supposed to be at 200, 114, 84, 117, 89.
