The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom announced, features playable Zelda

The Legend of Zelda is getting a new entry, in the form of Echoes of Wisdom. Styled in the same way as 2019's The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, it's an isometric 2D Zelda game, featuring Princess Zelda herself as the playable character. Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma wanted to try a new gameplay style for this title, which has players use "echoes" to fight and solve puzzles instead of Link's typical equipment. Zelda can take items and create echoes of them, like tables, beds, or other items, to help you climb and traverse the world. You can also create echoes of enemies, to make them fight on your behalf.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom will release on September 26.

Yes. Most people aren't stuck in the 90's like you and Nintendo.
I'll keep enjoying my quality outdated games while all the "latest" $100,000,000+ games you like come out, instantly flop and kill the studio.

Suicide Squad, Forspoken, Immortals of Aveum, Saints Row, Hyenas etc

Look at that trailer again... not only the building a way i was talking about with bypassing the trees totk style but it shows the items menu being scolled... if you look at it closely you will see a long set from left to right jof items just like tok and botw this means your gonna have tons of items to build combine and so forth... meaning guess what the same crap in totk and botw but now in top down 2d zelda shit is trifling forcing us to do the same shit in 2d zelda now??? It would be no surprise if the rod's or echoes break too lol... This game is horrific LMAO :rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2:

Nah its that botw totk mechanic bullshit now in a 2d zelda game lol its like theyre forcing us to accept it in every new zelda game!!!
There's no need to be crass.
The mechanic functionally is barely similar to Tears if the Kingdom's Fuse mechanic, as well as being used in a different way.
It has a Scribblenauts-esque feel of creative puzzle-solving to it. I struggle to see much parallelism between this game and the open-world Zeldas outside of that.
From your responses one could assume Nintendo directly ported Breath of the Wild to a 2d plane and resold it.
All this off of one trailer as well. I can get not liking the concept, but jumping to "its Breath of the Wild and bullcrap" off of 60 seconds of gameplay is a puzzling conclusion.
Your responses also echo government overreach statements (e.g. "they're forcing us to do x this way now!"), which is puzzling. If you don't like the concept, then don't buy the game. The rest of us will enjoy it just fine.

Skip to 1:40 and listen Mr Eiji Aonuma himself says here we wanted to create a new gameplay style that breaks conventions seen in past zelda games with top down perspective!!!

That new gameplay style is like i said totk and botw now in this top down 2d /2.5d game entry!!!

Skip to 2:40 and oh boy talking about these echoes merging build and its entirely upto you he says

Skip to 3:03 pause and you'll see a long list of items like totk items needed for building merging and or whatever crap these are not items in a real zelda game i mean we see a bed a rock table sign list goes on this is like i said a replica of botw and totk i really hope they dont do do this with every game now.... Below is a screenshoot

I'm not denying the similarities, and yes, there may even be some overlap between the two games, but this game feels completely unique in its identity as well.
A Link between Worlds also "broke standards" previously seen in a 2.5D Zelda game.
They're probably trying to appease both hard-core Zelda fans and newer fans of the open-eorld games which makes sense from a business and development perspective. It's still much too soon to say for sure how much DNA this game has from its predecessors.

Thanks for the reply and citations. I do see what you were talking about and noticed the similarities you referred to as well.

Very Nice response... But just imagine a new Zelda game with the graphics and huge world of botw or totk without all the mmo type building stuff breaking weapons setup??? With a concrete story where you find your way to a dungeon through events... Defeat the dungeon gain a new ability to progress and explore a huge world further... that would be a helluva huge beautiful ass game with intense replay value!!! We have yet to get such great quality on the switch??? I'm fairly confident those sales would surpass that of totk and or botw!!! My point is Nintendo is forcing us to play all new entries in botw and or totk mechanic style now it's not really fair to everyone but Nintendo gon Nintendo for sure :rofl2::rofl2::rofl2:

It's a shame but CryZENx is doing a better job at such things..... I'll be honest the game looks nice right now itd be nice if they had a unlock classic mode but we all know that's not the case...

What if Zelda was a girl?

And used the same shitty UI from Tears of the Kingdom?

TBH, I thought it looked pretty boring and the graphics are atrocious. Like 3DS level. That and the direct was like 90% ports and remasters. Overall very mid to me. Metroid Prime 4 looks cool though.
