There are several ways to do a walk through walls cheat, similar logic for walk on water if you happen to be doing that for something.

1) If the game has an internal mechanic that allows it (can be a potion, can be a hidden thing for a cut scene or something) then see if you can enable it for that location. Can be easier said than done to find this if it is hidden mechanics (most do it more for hidden invincibility mechanics).

2) You disable the collision, either in general (tends to involve altering the game code, I tend to go in response to a button press but you can also do a variation of the teleport below and set a breakpoint on anything reading that location) or via more game specific means. The game specific thing comes in that most games will have the visual level and a code representation of it, if you can find the code representation in memory you can change things to no longer be there and thus get beyond barriers as though you magically added a doorway where there was none. This is usually the cleanest take as walking into and out of a room/area/level will tend to fix it but also one of the more involved ones.

3) You make a teleport cheat but set it to 1 or 2 tiles ahead of where you are. Most collision detection algorithms only work when you approach from a direction rather than have gone past it, which is also why speedruns, glitch players and such will attempt to use animations that might move outside it (usually emotes, taunts and such providing this, as might doing things while holding something, riding something or getting knocked back by an in game item) or gain massive speed to bypass it as the checks happen too slow/infrequently to catch it.
If you can then find your location in the game's virtual world (easy enough to move in a level and search for changes, perhaps in some ways even easier than losing health/mana/gold like most basic cheat making) you can make a button combo cheat to set you to a new location (presumably one or two tiles forward, and another for one or two back, and another for left and another for right) and thus be behind the wall and in out of bounds areas (and get back in afterwards if you want that).
