  • Debian for the win. Only issue is that it's my mouse that won't connect to it but that's because the software needed for it to pair doesn't come with a Linux variant! Only Windows, MACOS, and ChromeOS.

How do I install ChromeOS apps on a Linux machine?

They're just web apps that can run in any Chrome-based (or sometimes others) browser AFAIK. "Installing" literally just adds a shortcut to the page.

I remember I've tested the ManjaroOS distro and it has lots of web apps
Man, it's so funny seeng this site and another Fourm site that I'm active on have extremely different rules when it comes to how others behave and such. This place is a lot more lenient while the other place: Argue once and you or both would get a warning
Can someone inform me a good way to use Twitter without having to deal with all of the ads on here? (I know that I don't have to use it but I use it for other purposes and such)

Get the control panel for twitter extension. It'll block all of those for you.

It's really good to have if you ever need to check twitter. You've got the option to remove crap like grok, hide twitter blue replies, hide anything like recommended people and trending hashtags, etc.

I have that on PC but at this point I just installed ReVanced Mamager to take care of it for Mobile. I don't really like how slow Twitter is with the desktop version getting used

I already found my workarounds, but I guess in the normal sense that it's still disappointing to see the original access to emulators and such now getting take down.

Yuzu, Citra, Emulation Station (on Amazon), Drastic, and FBI are all going down. (even if Yuzu and Citra have done non no things)

People might aswell make backups of every other emulator out there lol cause i ain't signing up for the day that Dolphin, literally one of the most popular emulators then either gets hit or stops development through the whole situation

I already gotten this covered. Ultimately, I've decided to stick to Debian cause it's the most lightweight that my PC absolutely needed.

What's a good PC (exclusing my personal one) to run Linux on? I have one that has Mint, but it's pretty slow

What kind of PC? Basically any, lol. Raspberry Pi if you're looking for something small to tinker with. Run a virtual machine if you want to use your existing PC without affecting the data on it (or, even, a LiveCD bootable environment)
Since when did I have my own blog section? I haven't thought about using it since I created it though cause.... What would I want to post on there?

Hmm. Game dev... I don't have anything prepared for that one yet.

I just put random thoughts and stuff in my blog - things that are too long for profile posts.
I'm not sure about anyone else, but that's how I use it; essentially as a Twitlonger, or whatever it's called now (Xlonger?).

I'm still pretty sure that's it's still called Twitlonger lo but maybe I could do that.
Can someone update me on the Pokemon presents? Too busy to watch it lol

I saw, and it has to do with X and Y, which is pretty good. I have a little bit of memories for it mainly from the Anime. (even though Clemont is the only thing I remember)
Sometimes, I'd like to wonder what the mods, admins, and even the owner think about getting their site constantly spammed during the nights of EST lol....

I'm going to start doing my research of how it takes for a Windows fanboy to make the forced switch over to Linux after every single person in that community telling me to make the move as it'll save my life forever.

To start off, outside of giving you your own environment, what does Linux provide more than Winodws? I use Win11, and I want to know if there's features that Linux can mimic more than Windows, and to see if I can play some Steam games on there without any compatibillity issues.

This is a life-changing feature that I NEED...
So I've finally gotten TwilightMenu to work on my DS Flashcart and everything. Having said that, whenever I load a game for some reason, my menu will always boot into the game and not to Twilight Menu

This is a config oopsie as far as I can remember.

If it is, you can hold B to boot into TWiLightMenu++, go into the options via SELECT, switch pages with X/Y, then there is an option to turn off "Last played ROM on startup".

I've managed to do everything right, but ngl I like the other menu that it provides with it replacing my M3i Zero Menu. I'm going to miss having sounds and whatnot, but I'd take this as a huge win.

Okay. Okay. Okay, can someone help me on how to add a save file on the Wii plaease? I've tried using Save Manager GX, adding a Mario kart Wii Save file, putting it in the Save Manager Folder, and the whole app crashes.

If it's in encrypted format you can just place it right on the SD card if it has the right folder structure (private/wii/whatever, IIRC) and import it through system settings.
Man, I haven't said anything here in a while. I guess I ain't in the homebrew craze as much as I used to anymore. I finally finished my Modded Wii, but I don't use it much outside of playing a few games.

@DragonMals Your Wii is much more capable when it comes to retro gaming.
With RetroArch you can play Arcade games. Most of the Mame 2003 Full Non-Merged Romset are playable, so if you're into that...
CPS1, CPS2 and CPS3 alongside the 98% of the NEOGEO Arcade games are also playable in RetroArch.

Then there's Homebrew Games and Ports of classic PC games.

    DragonMals
I didn't know that! Well considering that it can run Magical Drop and some other Arcade games, then I could just have that as an Arcade emulation machine.

I don't know how how to get MAME working on my PC at all nor how to even get the games "through other means"

I never like playing games as I used to.
    Can anyone see this? Great.

Today I just saw the anoucnement of RiiConnect24 and WiiLink merging together. Uh... Should I do anything major to my modded wii to keep up to date with the current changes?

Never really used WiiLink in all honesty, its a revival to Japanese channels so call it 'experimental' if you may.
Update on the Wii: I guess that there's something wrong with my router that it changed something and whatnot, so I guess I have to rely on good old Hotspot connection to get things going, and this impacts the performance on stuff like the Nintebdo Channel.

Dude I just want to watch videos of Trailers from the 2000s why gotta make it so difficult for me

Anyways, issues aside, I hope y'all tempers have been having a great Christmas. I don't interact much often cause well, life has been taking me over and I haven't been really into the homebrew scene much.

I've heard that something with the 3ds and WiiU happen but Pretend is yet to be open to the public as ive said this comment, I think.

Anyone waiting for 2024? What are some things that you've accomplished this year? Any notable achievements, conflicts and whatnot? And what do you plan for the next year to come?

The Wii doesn't support WPA2 IIRC. So your router needs to be set to WPA/WPA2 mixed (which lowers security)
