  • Where do I go to talk about major issues that I have with this site? The mobile version of accessing DMs is incredibly broken as foe a while, i havent been able to press the "post reply" button yo talk with someone meanwhile when you press ctrl+enter given the right conditions it works. It even works fine on desktop. I wished for it to be fixed because the convenient of using it is broken

Posted a new arcticle regarding the Neo Geo AES+. Making these are so incredibly challenging given how doing this stuff is new to me, but I'm hoping that I'm doing a decent job with the ones I'm doing so far.

I am TIRED of being in places where the moderation is too soft. People like to think that mods have too much power, but I refuse to believe otherwise since the more power they have, the more they're able to tone down incompetent users that don't follow the rules.

Im glad to be here, this place got good moderation in its finest: Active mods both silly and serious, and ain't hesitant to put actions against arguments

even though there's been suggestions regarding reverting it back to how it used to be, banning people as what they're supposed to, the thread has closed and so far no changes to the system have been made.

Really wanna appreciate this forum to its fullest due to the concept being extremely useful and resourceful but they need to beef up their mods

"Reader mode" effectively sounds like the same thing as using the site logged out, which you could still do if you were banned.

Word of advice don't always get involved in drama you have no control over. If you show less irritation it will eventually annoy the person causing the problem more.
I wonder if there'll ever be a place where your opinions on AI won't be flabbergasted by either sides of the hatin or lovin AI coin.

I hate it personally considering that the perfect use case for AI is overshadowed by by the worst cases (e.g: GenAI, DLSS5, + replacing ppl's jobs), but there's nothing worse than having to see people argue about it like it's some of form of a political opinion.

The heated discussions are taking into a point where things that are even unrelated have people making assumptions on other members who disagree with them on their take on AI or something akin. I remember talking in a forum about good mobile browsers, and-

Someone brought up a web3 based browser (which I remember web3 being cryptocurrency and NFT based), and didn't want to use it due to such, and that same person thought I was a technology demon.

These topics brings the worst out of people, and all I just want to talk about is games and actual good use cases of AI.

As long as it is still a trend that is sensationalized beyond reason there can never be a good time to discuss it without making somebody act irrationally
Who uses the blog section of GBATemp, and which was the last logged blog so that I can watch their thoughts (similar to how I do on my website?)

Before GBAtemp had an upgrade to XenForo 2 the blog section was way more visible. Comments appeared in the recent content box, not only new entries.
Notifications are completely broken. Quoting another comment works and tagging users with @
I used to blog almost regularly.

I didn't even know that the blogging system had been broken! I hope that it eventually gets fixed since I honeslty like reading other people's blogs on this site.
Looks like my HP Elitebook 840 g1 is going back to Windows 11 after having so many problems with Linux. I guess I really can't get used to it personally. But don't worry, PeppermintOS is on two other PCs of mine (that I don't use much)

Nahh this is just standard Windows 11 Home. Last time I tried to do a Tiny11 fork using that, I used one that had this weird time limit to that
My phone lost the ability to wipe the cache partition. Can I get some suggestions on alternative phones to the S24 Ultra?

Samsung deserves a place on the no-buy list.
    * Killing bootloader unlock worldwide <-- (repeating fake news in this regard),
    * Imposing questionable rules for third-party repair
    * Getting rid of testpoint based rescue methods (Emergency USB Booting).
    * Now baseless restrictions in standard recovery

You mentioned using DeX if I remember correctly. Some screenshots look impressive. Desktop mode as part of standard Android is in eternal "planned", "alpha" and "developer options only" state. If Desktop mode worked I would be using GrapheneOS as my main OS for online activities.

KleinesSinchen I don't understand why everything has always have to be a security measure when in reality, it's limiting our abillity to customize Android to our liking. For 23 years, Android was the better alternative to iOS for developers, and the push to basically making it Apple is unnessasary. I don't even use DeX anymore cause I find it impractical.
Wow, taking off animations makes scrcpy much faster on the long run. I don't understand why on some cables it's borderline unusable sometimes, but without animations it makes it a lot better to control and whatnot.

if there's one streaming application that I'm glad about having on Linux it would have to be this one since that's one that I wished from my times using Windows to have on my eventual Linux machine.

Even though nobody is using it much, the Linux Mint HP Elitebook 840 g1 still holds up with it being on there but...

for some reason in the BIOS,it's adding so many entries to various Linux Distros that I added into the system with no way to take them down and whatnot. I know this PCs old but damn. Also, I appreciate the Linux community for having Wii/PS3 Bluetooth Functionality come out of the box
I swear I don't think I would be interested into keeping into this Linux realm for a while. Until a bunch of circumstances occur, I can't find any practical use of me sticking to Linux even for college reasons. I just find it nothing but a hindrence seeing how there's some specific features from Windows that I use on there that can't easily be done on Linux and stuff.

Especially for the use case of this college laptop. One thing I wish I never discovered was CrystalDiskInfo since that tells me a rough percentage of the integrity of the SSD/HDD inside of my PC. I think because I've done something wrong on Windows where it used a bunch of unnecessary data to check if my PC is in good shape, it gotten the SSD in here from the 90s to the 80s

Flatpaks are, for all intents and purposes, native Linux applications. There are instances where I actually prefer them over something installed from say Pacman or the AUR.

That being said, Linux is definitely daunting. Especially with its varied flavors and distros. I'm kind of in the same boat, I find myself bouncing between Endeavour and Fedora at least a couple of times a year. Can't see myself going back to Windows full time, though. It's become such a shit show.

I tried searching through google on bing search and it tried mocking the Google search in an attempt for me to think I'm actually using Google.... I can't believe they're able to get away with this everywhere but not in the European Uniion. I wish I can move there I swear

Here's a comment I left about the Ace3DS+ no longer being made on the Ace3DS+ review.

Wait is the Pico one the one that's completely open source and makes playing DSI and GBA games on Native DS hardware possible with the flash art alone?
    SylverReZ
    SylverReZ
Yes. The DSpico is the flashcart that's open-source and can play DSi exclusive games & HB natively on the hardware. It only works this way if the flashcart has the WRFUXXED exploit flashed into the firmware.
I just had to witness someone in a comments section of a YouTube video I've watched say that they had to use AI to detect their specs in their PC.

I literally know a website that does exactly this without using AI LOL
