why would the eshop closing be a factor of you getting a n3ds ll if you are wanting one?Since the eShop is closing soon, is there any other disadvantage to purchasing a Japanese - New 3DS XL - and changing its region?

That's up to you to decide. Losing eShop access means you can't purchase games, DLCs or download game updates for games. But if you're not planning to play Jp versions of games, then it's no concern to you i guess..What I meant is that, since the eshop is closing soon, Losing access to it by changing a Japanese 3DS region is no longer an issue, right?
You can't use your original NNID, means if you had any purchased games you can't access/download them after the region change. Back them up with GodMode9 as cia files if you have any beforehand. And I want to know if there are other downsides to changing a device region other than losing access to the eshop.
Then you should follow the Soundhax method in the guide. Read carefully and do not skip any steps. It’s unmodified and has OFW 9.0x installed.
I can't help you with that there..I’m using Gateway 3DS (CFW 11.x), but it Is not working anymore.
Not sure what you mean here.. Do you think you can access The Homebrew Launcher with it?I can go to CFW by entering via pressed left L-Button in DS-Settings,
It could be a dead or faulty sd card. SD card testing is a step in the guide too, so make sure to check it with h2testw to make it's not faulty. Obviously, backup any files you might have on there before doing the test.but the microSD card is not recognized by the 3DS (no games shown but one title installed on the in-device microSD-Card). Is this behavior fixable or should I do something different? I heard that Gateway is dead…
Yes, definitely.

After the March 2023, you can no longer purchase any games/DLCs/themes, though you can still download purchased games/DLCs etc. after the deadline.. Here's the official Nintendo QA.But when they close the eshop won't everyone lose access anyway? or are they only removing the ability purchase
Yes. But they'll eventually close it down too, just not initially..And the service to update games will still be available?
All the necessary details are in front of you. If Jp systems are cheaper than the US/EU ones, then by all means go for it.What I am trying to decide is between buying a Japanese DS which have lower prices or an US/Euro one.
There's a site, can't name names, that has repositories for the wii, 3ds, and wiiu, so they'll never be gone. But when they close the eshop won't everyone lose access anyway? Or are they only removing the ability to purchase? And will the service to update games still be available?
What I am trying to decide is whether to buy a Japanese or US/Euro 3DS. Depending on the pros and cons of each one.
Remove card, change theme to default, retry with card.heya- i wanted to ask,
i have a homebrewed 2ds- recently i tried to make and install custom themes on it, but doing so resulted in arm11 errors. when i remove the sd card, the console can reach home menu after turning on, but having the card inserted results in the error screen right after turning on. the themes have already been deleted from the sd card.
i tried copying the contents onto a new card, but that still results in the same crash(?) right after turning it on
would it be okay to go about reinstalling CFW on a fresh sd card ? like solely luma and b9s and all that? or would that be like jumping the gun? at this point im just scared of making it worse somehow lol
assuming i did it right its still crashing ;; ty thoRemove card, change theme to default, retry with card.
Sd card might be corrupt. Try a fresh copy of luma.assuming i did it right its still crashing ;; ty tho
You can clear Home menu theme data and extdata using the instructions at https://3ds.hacks.guide/troubleshooting#clear-home-menu-extdata .i tried copying the contents onto a new card, but that still results in the same crash(?) right after turning it on

You can use hydroseed to feed fbi with every seed.due to this threat having over to thousand posts, and me not being Able to search them all, I would like to post my question here.
I have mod moon, and a few smash mods. I also have smash Digitally.
so, I get a crash open opening the game. the guide here said to import the seed, so I tried that in FBI, got an error that tells me I can't download the seed.
I can't post the exact error message due to this being a new account. (my first)
my guess is the eshop has something to due with importing seeds.
so, I must ask. is there a way to download the seed from somewhere, or use another program?
(mods are used by saltysd +modmoon)
the crash dump is not uploading to the site.
Does/did the vanilla Pokémon Moon & Smash games play fine on your system, and you're having errors just with these mods, right?I have mod moon, and a few smash mods. I also have smash Digitally.
Read above.so, I get a crash open opening the game. the guide here said to import the seed, so I tried that in FBI, got an error that tells me I can't download the seed.
It's okay.I can't post the exact error message due to this being a new account.
You shouldn't have this problem with eShop purchased games, are yours downloaded from the eShop?my guess is the eshop has something to due with importing seeds.
With fbi. If it doesn't work (and it should) somehow. You can download the seed file of those two games, just search with your games' title id and get their seed files. When you get them, put those 2 in sd:/fbi/seed iirc.so, I must ask. is there a way to download the seed from somewhere, or use another program?
If you want to backup the save from your cart, you can do so with Checkpoint.Heyah !
I've a random stupid question, but i'd need some help.
Here's my situation : For every day, I use 3 CFW 3DS. A few years ago, I dumped Mega Mystery Dungeon. I don't remember on which one I did that tbh. But the issue is that i've played the game, and went as far as possible.
Because of some SD Card / managment issues, I deleted the title. And I didn't dumped my save. But in 2022, I realize that I didn't inject the save done on my cartridge (the idea was to dump my game to keep my collection clean)
Is there any way for me to recover that ? How could I check fast where this game was present ?
Thanks o/
