Are you using hekate/Nyx (hekate with gui)

should be a button labeled backup emmc sysnand or something of the like

Yes i am using the latest hekate/nyx that ctaer put out. However, whenever i boot into hekate it says that nyx is missing, and under the tools menu there isn’t any option to backup, the only option under tools is autorcm. Thanks for reaching out, sorry if i’m being ignorant, this is my first time going through this whole process.

Grab it again from here and copy everything to your microSD card, (put your microSD back into the switch) then inject the hekate bin included and you should get the gui

Is Atmosphere just as picky as OFW about transferring games from one mSD to another? In other words: if I drag and drop everything from a 200GB mSD to a fresh 512GB mSD, is it gonna ask me to download everything again before it's playable? And if so, can that be avoided by cloning it 1:1 instead?

You can copy everything from the FAT partition to a new SD card and everything will continue to work. However if you use EmuMMC and have it on a separate partition you have to copy that over as well. Then it gets a little more complicated. You can follow this guide to do it: https://nh-server.github.io/switch-guide/extras/transfer_sd/

I highly recommend using TinWoo Installer instead. Its much simpler to use and has better compatibility with Hekate.

im assuming not as im sure it would be easier to find but... for smash bros is there a way to get around the inability of using ARCropolis on yuzu? Like can we perhaps we convert the mod? or decompress the data.arc and load raw files/contents? my idea was as a last resort rebuild the rom with edits but im not sure if that might crash when some kinda checksum check is tripped.

Hello tempers,

I have been out of the loop for a while.
I have an unpatched switch and a RCMloader.
What is the best way to install NSPs?

Is Hekate/Atmosphere still the best? Which homebrew should I use to install the NSPs?

Thank you kindly

I highly recommend using the title manager, TinWoo Installer, to install .NSP files. Right now, the only CFW actively being updated is Atmosphere so regardless of it being the best or not, it is the only choice.

Thanks so much for your help, I was just being dumb. I kept putting the entire Hekate/Nyx file into the the sd card instead of pulling out the contents of the folder onto the root of the sd card.

OK, I have been using my rcm jig for my switch for the past 2 weeks, but I recently purchased a RCM Loader, If I start using my RCM Loader for my switch will it remove any files and game saves from my micro sd card?

Why would it remove files, it's literally just a different jig/payload injector is it not?

You should just plug it in and it should inject

I've just updated my cfw to 11.0.1 from 10.x.x using ChoiDujoirNX. I boot using fusee-primary and haven't updated anything else. I get a fatal error while running atmosphere and the screen just come on with nothing on it while booting.
Are there other updates I should have made for compatibility with 11.0.1? Perhaps like fusee-primary or something else? I can boot into hekate as well - perhaps there's something I can do to downgrade since I can no longer boot into my emuMMC.

Some more information about your console can help such as firmware, what led up to this problem, what have you tried, etc.

Sorry I should have added more info.

Basically, my switch was able to be hacked multiple times throughout the years but every single time there was an official update, I would patch to that version, lose access to the modified version and not touch my switch for a few months before I inevitably hacked it again. Now though, after I update everything; atmosphere, hekate, etc. I get this error.
I even tried all my files from sd card (excluding the Nintendo folder) and copy pasting a new batch of files I downloaded from sdsetup. It gives the exact same error everytime. I'm assuming this is a more specific problem as opposed to a general installation method mixup.

I've never gotten any error ever and now I'm stuck with one that nobody has had before.
