Hi! You could try a different loader (CFG Loader is easy enough to use) and/or a differnt drive.

You could also try the games from the hdd into dolphin (wii emulator on pv), to see if they at least boot there

Hello all. I do appreciate all of your assistance. I am going to try and load different games. So far i have tried wii sports resort and mario super sluggers. I dont believe mario super sluggers requires wii motion plus. So im thinking the problem is with all games.

So sad....I am very, very sorry to hear it is still not working....

Maybe you should really try an Alternative Loader, would you be so kind and try @blackb0x USBLoader GX MOD please ?

If that also not wokring, then please try the WiiFlow Lite Mod from @fledge68 please:
https://github.com/Fledge68/WiiFlow_Lite

If none of them Working, then you can maybe pretty sure it has to do with your Games.:(

Good Luck.
Thank you.:)

First you can try it with the WiiBackup Managers Option - Format Drive
I am not sure,if it also deletes the Partitions.

There are many Tools around, for myself I have used "AOMEI Partition Assistant" since two Years,
but as I said, there are more Tools around.:)

You can set the Allocation Unit Size to "Auto" it is not really relevant for a 500 GB HDD.

Good Luck.
Thank you.:)
Hello Alexander. Hope you are well. I got my hands on another wii console. Would you be able to recommend a guide to me on how to add homebrew and such to play wii games from rom. I wanted to try a different one to see if it would work? Thanks so much!

Nice to hear from you.:)

I am very, very sorry.I do not really know a Guide for this, very very sorry.:(

For the Part until the "Wii Games" you can use this one please:
https://wii.guide/

For adding Homebrew there is no such general Guide/Manual.:(
Most of the Applications are simply working by copying a Folder into SD Card:\apps.
Like SD:\apps\Wiimod for example. The Application/Homebrew Folder usually contains the Application .dol File.
In Addition there is an .png File for the Banner on the Homebrew Channel and an .xml File for the Description.

Most Emulators automatically creates additional Folders (on the first Startup) on the Root of the SD Card for the Roms/Covers/Cheats and so on.

If you need help and/or a Manual, many Apps/Homebrews/Emulators have a github Page with this Support.
And Google is always very helpful too.

I hope this helps you a little.

Good Luck
Thank you.:)

Some download places use Nkit ISO's.
Try downloading each game as a .wbfs file, or use a Management tool to turn them into an .wbfs from an ISO

Use Nkit to reverse an .nkit.iso to .iso, then use something like ISO2WBFS to turn them into a WBFS. Make sure these files have the name crosschecked with an ID from gametdb.

Here's an example of what your file tree should look like if you downloaded Wii Sports:

E:\wbfs\WiiSports\RSPE01.wbfs

NOT

E:\wbfs\Wii\Wiisports.wbfs

Why WBFS?
WBFS is easier for a Wii to load in my past experience. ISO's are too confusing, mostly because of Nkit scrubbing. WBFS should be standard for all Wii's. Also, WBFS files are smaller than an ISO.

Hi I know this is out of context, but i really need help with the issue that i have.

I'm having some problems with loading Wii games on USB loader GX.

THE STORY:

I got into Homebrewing when I first heard about Project+ in early summer last year(2020) and started everything from YouTube tutorials, so please go easy one me if I have done something Wrong or Old.

Eventually down the track, I learnt about Nintendon't and USB Loader GX and having more than one game on the console via a USB. But I still wanted to have Project+ at the same time.

According to the "DEFINITIVE Project Plus Install Guide (EVERY METHOD!)", (in the google doc details) ,it says to install the iOS revision: d2x V10 beta 52, but on the video, it says to inatsall d2x V8 final.

I tried both revisions and I still didnt get any results. from then on, I gave up on trying to get Project+ on my console and decided to get more games on my console other than just one.

I then studied more details about Homebrewing, and decided to do a System-Check on my Wii console and refined some things on my console, while refferencing some things off from CYAN's Wii hacking guide.

(I will show you everything technical in the "THE TECHNICAL DETAILS" part, further down.)

Ever since I did that, everything (Except for USB Loader GX, since I did start everything off from YouTube tutorials. I am not shafting CYAN, its MY FAULT, not his) has been working swell, Nintendon't is great, my menuify is great too, but with USB Loader GX, every single game DOES appear, but when I try to load any of the games it just gives me a Black Screen with NO sound. I also went on to the USB Loader GX settings and specifically changed the game's iOS slot and slots to: 249 and 250 singularly for each try, but had the same outcome every time, the dreaded Black Screen!!.

END OF STORY, let's get to the technicals.

THE TECHNICAL DETAILS:

Wii Console (4.3E Australian, Homebrewed)

SanDisk Extreme Micro SDXC Card (128GB, V30, U3, A2, with SD adapter, Formatted to FAT32 And 32KB allocation with successful verification for the formatting to actually work from myself.)

SanDisk UltraFit USB3.1 (64GB, Formatted to FAT32 And 32KB allocation with successful verification for the formatting to actually work from myself, hence, Nintendont actually working with all of the installed games.

BootMii (on IOS And Boot2)

Priiloader

d2x cIOS installer (more details in the syscheck)

MyMenuify (white theme)

Nintendon't (All the game's work)

All the other apps work.

USB Loader GX (All games appear but don't load, hence, the problem that i WANT to fix please)

Overall, I have some questions:

#1: Is there something, that is out of my knowledge that I am NOT doing, that CAN and WILL be able to Fix this problem for me?

#2: Is it possible to have Nintendon't, USB Loader GX and Project+ on the same console, without having to constantly change cIOSs? and if it is, how can I do it?

#3: (If all is lost) Do/Will I need a new Wii Console?

#4 Is there something wrong with my IOSs or ciOSs?

#5: Can anyone Help me with this please?

IF THERE ARE ANY IMPORTANT DETAILS THAT I AM MISSING OR NEED FROM THE INFORMATION ABOVE THAT WILL HELP ME FIX THIS, PLEASE NOTIFY ME ASAP. thanks

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60
